I've got an old Suntour freewheel that will not budge. Any tips?

Assuming you have the correct freewheel removal tool for this I suggest this....
Place the freewheel tool in a vice, face/prongs up, clamp it down. Place the wheel over the tool and turn wheel clockwise.
If you have an inflated tire on the wheel it will help get a good grip.
Try this, if it doesn't work just ask for help again, I have a list of drastic measures to cure this devil

If you're not fussed about keeping the freewheel? Clamp the freewheel in a vice, do the vice up 'till it free wheels no more, keep turning and it'll be off

tack weld the freewheel to the bumper of your truck. gently turn the hub using a 24" pipe wrench.
seriously, the freewheel tool in the vise is your best bet.

The vice suggestion is good. If you still have an axel in the hub thread the axel nut on so that it is close to the tool. That will keep the wheel from slipping. Use some kind of lube on the back side and let it soak in also this sometimes helps. Is it just me or would Beavis and Butthead enjoy this response?

heres my problem what is the best way to get a freewheel off a hub that has been unlaced from the rim without tearing up the hub or cutting the freewheel off (or is there)??? any ideas will be appreciated cause i have two hubs this way

Nothing worse than the feeling you get after cutting through all your nasty spokes to free a cool rear hub and then realizing your freewheel is still attached, been there done that.
I suggest getting one of those adjustable rubberband wrenches...what are they called? Kinda like a oil filter wrench. Anyway strap that puppy over the hub body and proceed with the vise method. This might be the only way to avoid scratching the heck out a nice hub.

You could try putting a few spokes in a rim, just enough to get the freewheel off.
