Final Edition? I'm down to 2 keepers. This is one of them.
This is how it was set up first.

Here it is now.

I'm torn on if its too much white and chrome. Maybe I need to finish the brakes and get the tires dirty. Or maybe I just need to move it on to a team master paint job?. What do you think? CT

I like it with the white, but maybe throwing another color into the combo, like blue to match the decals, would make it "pop" a bit more?

SWEET!!!!

How about some green cables and a blue chain?

I love it!
The only thing I would do is ditch the GT seat. I actually like that style seat... just not on a Haro.
But what do I know, I ran a GT seat on my RL-20II bitd all day long. lol, don't listen to me.
I think I remember a discussion about that rear brake. What is it again?
Pauly
Only keeping 2 bikes? I'm trying to whittle mine dow as well... it's going to be tough to figure which ones to keep. Anyone interested in a Zeronine freestyler?
Average Joe
Looks like an albino in a bikini.
I like the black tires and pedals.
Just add blue and green where ever you can and find some pads. My .02

Don't paint good chrome.

That is Beautiful!!!!

I agree.. I like the chrome.. and the 86 decals... it's inspiring.. I have an 88 Master team Model (Turq/Mint).. and I'm really excited about it..... But I also have an extra 88 Master frame.. i'll probably dress it up like this one too....

It's nice how they can visually transition back a few years with just a switch of the graphics.. (i know the gusset and top tubes are different) .. but seeing this masterpiece... makes me not really care.

Even the Flight2 cranks with the haro silver/silver sprocket look damn authentic at a glance.... Your eye just fills in the Group 1 .. haha.

Those are the original Shimano U-brakes, aren't they?

IMO, all you need to do is stick another pair of Roll-Ons on the back, get the front brakes working, and route the cables in front of the crossbar instead of behind, and you've got a good rider.

Nice.

that looks really cool with the 85 decals on it, and looks like it would be a great rider. both set ups look great but I liked the first one the best since it evens out the white. just curious, what model of shimano brake is the rear? i've never seen one like that before.

Thanks people. I'm going to run it a bit and get it dirty. If it still does not fit then at least the decals will have to go. If that does not work then team paint. The brake is a shimano mtn. bike u brake from 1987 or 1988. This one is a deore.

Very nice! I just did a similar thing with my 91 Master that I had all black and chrome for years and threw an 85 sticker set on it and a little more color. I'd just go for some blue cables and a blue/chrome chain and I'd leave all the white that you have on there, it's really clean looking.

Awesome!

Wow thats a sweet haro master .

Update:
Built up some wheels that better fit the build i had in mind for this bike.
Revcore 48 front hub
suntour 48 coaster shell with polished races and inner braking surfaces and cones aka "blueprinted". has a acs freecoaster on it now. Rod welded the flanges on for me too. standard hd coaster axle. full looseball bearings.
araya 7x 48 rims chrome plated.
wheelsmith aka ashai double butted spokes with alloy nipples

The wheels are real nice and light. Well as light as that rear hub is going to get unless I remove some parts to make it a full time freecoaster.

I had 2 set of these 24 tpi tioga pegs layaing around. Was going to use one silver set on the coaster and the white 26 tpi I had on there before till I knolticed the revcore hub is 24 tpi.

I'm still on the fence with the decals. I may still get it painted to look like a 87 or 88 team. But at this point its fine. A little bright but werent all freestyle bikes a little bright?

i like the chrome with the 86 stickers.
i have an extra set of those brakes if you want them..or anyone else for that matter.
only thing is..just need the lil plastic caps and bolts to bolt them to the posts..i believe.

oh yea..theyre brand new and never used

I think it looks awesome. The white to me makes the chrome stand out more. And leave the old decals. I would experiment with a set of green or blue brake cables and that's it.

Nice job

I agree with supra - the bike looks amazing, and a touch of color on the cables would really set it off beautifully. Regardless, though, it's a great build!

Thanks for the offer on the brakes. I have no need for them and they will just inspire me to build something else. And I'm trying very hard to stop building new rides. They just sit there and call me to build something around them. Thanks though.

Very nice!!! I like the first pic as well. I would've just changed the white parts for black. Black and chrome and blue and chrome are my favorite color combos. As for the latest pic. I would actually only swap out the white pedals, front white pegs, and maybe even the white grips. Maybe swap them with blue? Either way it still looks old school! Nice job.
