atleast get a 24" twin top tube bike before calling it a master anything! you may be a member here but that brings shame to the oldschool haro bike line in my opinion

chip - did you cringe when you powdered that one? i know how religious you are about haro bikes (older versions) but did this kind of make you a bit nervous?

Clearly, whoever owns that is a Haro fan. That's a cool looking cruiser, but I think it would look better with an RS1 decal set.
Either way, makes me want a cruiser.

He has the real deal hanging in the background of one of the pics. Jimmy is a good guy and long time member here. I'm not sure why he is selling it, but he built it as a more fuctional rider then the 20" he has. It does have some good parts on it, but the frame was just the only thing he had to work with at the time and he wanted that color scheme.

I can't remember who it was but someone built a Haro 24" cruiser in white with the 85 Master decals... That looked pretty sweet, anyone remember who that was?

That's 200 more than the $700 my Invisible Man cost me. "Generic"! LOL
At a LBS down here there's a Specialized 24 that has a Haro "Dave Mirra" decal set on it. Made me have a second look!

This is new here at vbmx. Calling someone out on a build you dont approve of. I always wondered how people would act if I were to say... put a pots mod on an old cook bros. I've thought about it.

its not calling anyone out and its not that i dont approve of it . who am i? all im saying is what were you thinking? a 24" cruizer haro master? ive seen people get flamed for less on legit builds,(fork decals on upside down) ive also seen people on here get totally blown off the board because they put pro performer decals on a performer and wrong year at that. atleast the frame and fork resembled what it was meant to look like.
its would be more legit if it were a twin top tube torker to justify the decal choice, or if it were hand built by chip or rod to resemble a 24 inch master. and at 900 bucks i think that even you rimspoke would not take a second look at it.
as for a potts mod on a cook brothers, we all had them on our huffy race bikes or skyways and freestyled but that comment doesnt hold water in this case. what i was trying to portray in this thread was "why master decals" on a 24" single top tube bike. it was meant to start a conversation that is all.

If it's all about discussion, I'll say like Raul, would definitely be better with group1 stickers.
Way expensive IMHO, but I have nothing against some imagination. And Jimmy is a cool cat

Cost aside i think it's alright.I've been wanting to repaint and resticker my Diamondback MTB with something oldschool. While it wouldn't be correct i think it would make it a bit more fun.If i were to do that then try to sell it fir $500 then i could see a problem.

Making a 24" freestyle bike is nothing new. The easiest to convert would be a PL24 into a Prostyler and Torker cruiser into a Master. Making (enlarging) the frame is totally different concept. It`s alot more work than you think.

Now I find that to be one darned attractive cruiser, but then again I have a Retro sense of humor.
You'd be one tall dude to do any hops over the main tube!

Personally, I don't think anyone should be flaming anyone else's builds... period. I get what some of the guys are saying about, "maybe it'd be better with such and such stickers... or a different frame..." Constructive criticism such as this is fine in my opinion.
But don't flat out knock a guy for building a cool looking bike whether you agree or not.
There's room in the Old School BMX world for all kinds of builders and bikes. There's nothing like putting your heart and soul into a build and having somone tell you it sucks... Think about how you would feel for a sec...
If you ask me... cool build. Done.

I remember putting Redline stickers on my converted dragster so maybe I could put Master stickers on this one.

Actually, I have stickers designed and just need to get them made. They will not be Haro ones.
