Friend bought a Fred Blood General in 87, he had to choose between the RL model and the Blood. The Blood model had very nice parts right off the floor. Anlun neck, rotor, Peregrine HP 48s/Peregrine high flange hubs, Peregrine seat clamp, and Nippon brakes. Still rides it, feels short but solid.

Nice grab on that red one by bronxstyler. Anyone have some fork pegs? Preferably black, but I can dye some white ones if needed.

my buddy may still have them around in a box of junk but we'll have to search. not real confident they'll be found. i'll PM you if they are located.
I do have a pretty good track record at junk recovery as I finally found bronx's fork pegs for him.

there are some nos white gereral fork pegs, some used white cw fork pegs, and some used white boss fork pegs on ebay right now. All look the same but they might be a little different for all I know.

Do you guys know if General made a HPV or GPV bike?
raul
Jan 30 2007, 08:47 PM
Dayride, I don't know if General made either of those, but I believe they made one of those FS-1 type bikes. I think it was called something like Scamp?

Sorry RL Paulie, the original pegs were chewed up when the bike spent a winter in a basement with a dog. "dog ate my homework"
The pegs were similar to this auction, but not the same texture. They were smooth with little raises crosses or stars and the outside rim was raised like a handle grip would be.

those pegs are not General and the threads dont fit General Pro forks...only Hustler models...

What pegs did O.P's use? Were they spinners? I was going to buy those ones bridgecity posted, glad i didn't if that's the case.
Bronx Styler
Jan 31 2007, 05:45 PM
The spinners won't work on the Osborn and Blood pros. They used a different thread on the forks. The spinners work on the regular Hustler Pros and the older ones. They also work on Mongooses, General scooters and also on many bikes that used that same fork setup.

Oh ok so the spinners and the one's in that ebay auction have the same thread. Gezz those sound like they could be a challange to fined.

Wow, no doubt. Never seen those before. That's going to be tough. I might end up getting ones that go on the axle.

Those are identical to what came on my friend's 87 General. They definitely aren't very aesthetically appetizing.

Well here it is. Just recieved it this morning and stripped it down(the bike that is paint was already removed prior to me getting it). Thanks Paul.

Want to clean the chrome up a bit, then it's off to C4 for some white powder(the original color).
