Here's how to build on a budget. I bought the Sport (as shown in the first photo) and a new-school GT cruiser locally for $175 total, and sold the cruiser on eBay for $175. A $20 flea market Diamond Back yielded the DX pedals, Takagi cranks, Tange BB and alloy disc; I parted out the rest of that bike on eBay (for way more than $20). The Dominator seat and Tuf-Neck sprocket were from my stash of parts. Cleaning and assembly took a while, but my total cash outlay was basically zero.
