VintageBMX.com > VintageBMX Talk > Freestyle BMX
HOT DOG
Yes, Today I just became am a proud owner of a NOS 87 Team Master frame and fork, It has taken me 20 years to get one, with wrappings and all!

Who here also owns one and what is your serial number of yours?
Larryboy
I have one. Not sure on the serial # but it was NOS as well from a few yrs ago. I'll get a pic later.
Chevron Envy
Congrats John! Show us the goods! I bet that took some digging to find that.
IronHide
Congrats Hot Dog. Are you going to build it up for Rockford? Or keep it in the wrapper?
604 Rider
i have 3. dont know the serials off ahnd tho
almasterb
My frame is serial# 87057742. It has two sets of decals on it. I guess they faded fast. I wish someone had a decal set that matched the 87 team colors. Always thought the black and yellow were the best colors.
hutchhound
AJK has them
BOB-O
i think he is going to keep it as a nos frame and fork set....
HOT DOG
Ok, guys I'm back had to take my son to his soccer class. First my serial# 87032145. Next question-answer-& story behind this one. Iron Hide you will see ME at Rockford NOT the bike and as for building it NOPE. It has been out of the original wrapper and put back in from original owner and I have it out of the wrapper displayed BUT kept all the wrappers. So OS BOB-O has answered that. OH, one last thing I have been asked if I would sell it NOPE, I have waited 20years to get this thing. I guess "good thing come to those who wait", But no one ever told me the second part of that quote: "you would have to pay!" I have no problem telling you all what I payed $726.00 smacks and that included shipping.
Now story time MIKE. First the shop that owned it back in the day Skatepool, The First person owner his name is Craig he bought it from them a lllllong tttttime ago. He always wanted one, but could never bring himself to build it. He did put a headset in it and had it displayed at his home, he kept all the Haro wrappers, he said some years he would have it out and then some years wrap it back up, well over the last couple of years it has just been sitting wrapped. NOW here comes HOT DOG (thats me) if you didn't know. I have been asking people behind the seens that I was looking for one. OH one quick NOTE, (This is not earnhardt Jr one) I was going to hit the buy it now for that one, but that one sold to quick
.........Back to the story..........I get a email stating how serious am I about 87 Team Master, I told him I wanted a NOS one, NOT a redone or a used one. He sent me pictures asked him to hold it for me, sent my biggest paypal transfer funds ever, and the rest is history. It does have a couple 8 to be exact tiny chips in the paint and has a couple of cardboard scuffs from the haro cardboard wrapping, you guys that have bought NOS frame/forks know what I am talking about. As for the sticker they are perfect but are just starting to fade because I can tell the stickers are just a shade off. But I can't complain,
To me this is priceless!!!!
oldschoolrider88
this thread is worthless without pics.
rimspoke2
More than likely the stickers and paint never matched. When I had picked up my 87 team up from the shop in 87 it was like that to. I second Pat. Show it off.
BOB-O
WE WANT PICS, WE WANT PICS.......
Brian P
hmmmmm, gives me an idea for a "post your NOS frameset" thread
and "post your restored frameset" thread
Larryboy
Yeah, I think Rim is right about the decals. My NOS 87 Team Master f/f came still in the box and fully wrapped and its decals don't match right. Plus I had one back in 87 and even brand new, the decals didn't match either.

Grinder
Radmeon has a NOS 87 Haro Team Master complete bike and Nasterfou (did I get that right?) has Earnhardt Jr's NOS 87 F&F from Ebay that he has built-up along with at least 1 other NOS Master F&F (standard red model).

I have been eyeing a NOS 87 Team Sport F&F (gotta love the 87 Team model colors) from overseas, but the price has raised drastically recently and is just too much at 400 Euro (probably about $800 US) plus about $80 US shipping.

I was contemplating the NOS 87 Team Sport F&F on Ebay for $650 about 6 - 12 mos. ago for $650, but somebody else bought it first.

So right now I am waiting to see how the next Haro Anniversary bike plays out.
HOT DOG
Nastferout (is Brett) yeah the bike has passed through some hands before Brett, Earnhardt Jr, before him AJK Bikes had it and each you know it was some where before him and at least one other person, reason I say that if AJK was original owner you know he would have kept the wrappers, and no box.

As for my pic should be on here tonight!.

PS Grinder I sent you a pm did you get it?
BOB-O

here are hotdogs pics...i posted them for him...
Spicoli
that frame is the sheet...
HOT DOG
Thanks brother! I thought you would get a kick out the wrappers being shown.
gts340
I guess mine really isn't that faded. The downtube decal looks almost the same as on my nice survivor.

Thread hijack (it's for sale, hitting the bay soon if not sold here 1st.)
gts340
If someone wants to post pics, I'll send them of mine.
HOT DOG
What do the dropouts look like on yours, could you post OS BOB-O may be interested if the price or trade is right! PS what is the serial number on your?
gts340
OS-BOB-O couldn't open the pics. Serial number is 87032223.
HOT DOG
They opened fine for me, so I sent them to him maybe they will work.

Grinder, is that your bike ?? it's freagin killer !!

we gotta meet up one of these days...
Larryboy
Here's a pic of mine that's a couple of years old. It now has black Haro Multisurface skinwalls, correct brakes, KHE Stimulator pedals (MKS copies). I also have white cables, a white seat, and unidirectional chainring to put on it when I ever get around to it.

The flash doesn't do this color justice. This color is one of those that needs to be seen in person in sunlight.

Larryboy, that looks SSSSSweet! I know what you mean about photographing that color, I kid you not, I took 23 pictures of mine before sending it to OS BOB-O to list before I got the one that looked correct. What is the serial # of your?
djbdb
Matt, if you ever sell that one, can i have first dibs???

I LOVE 87/88 Haros....

Bob
Larryboy
I'll have to look for the serial number on my days off.

Bob, I still owe you for getting my 90 Master back for me. So...if (and that's a big IF) I decide to sell it. You got dibs.
HOT DOG
Thanks Eric, for selling the bike to OS BOB-O, he called me on his ride home. We both wanted that bike back in the day, but to far out of our price range as a kid. Now he has one and so do I, it just 20 years!
Congradulations BOB-O
PS Eric see you at Rockford!!
gts340
I'm gonna miss that bike. I'm glad OS BOB-O got it. It's a real survivor with some of the front parts looking to have been changed in the late 80's. I'm guessing a little brother inherited it and mom/dad took it to the shop for new parts. Check out the dropouts when you get a chance. He said I have first dibs on it back if he sells, I'm glad for that.
gts340
More Haros on the block so I guess it won't be the last sad say either...
BOB-O
yes, thanks alot...i love it like john said we always wanted one bitd now look...i did a little part swap for now and i ordered the correct stickers from ajk for the fork...
as soon as it's complete i will post a better pic in some light..
BOB-O
double post

HOT DOG
Eric, what kind of car are you buying? I heard it is rare.
gts340
A '71 Demon GSS. It's a supercar built by Mr. Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. Relate it to a Yenko Camaro or a Baldwin Motion Corvette.
