I already emailed the guy, totally F-ing with him. Had him going for a couple of days, then in my last email told him to "TRY POSTING ADS IN YOUR OWN TOWN!!!". Haven't heard back !!!

No offense, but why mess with the guy because he used CL to try and score stuff? Lou posted this as a joke I believe, hence the: lol.

I am joking but it would be nice to meet another member from somewhere else. I`m in the vacation capital city of the world. I met just about every member that came into my town. Wether it was family fun, sorrow, or business trip I was there to meet you.

Well, I think I'll post an ad on every craigslist for every major city I can think of, maybe then I can "score stuff" too, since scoring stuff in my area isn't really enough for me any more. I wanna get the stuff in everybody else's area too!
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea! I can just sit at home and SCORE from my computer! No more time or legwork invested by hitting every yardsale, pawn shop, flea market, BIKE SHOP, thrift store, etc. that I see!
Dang, I'm gonna go email that guy back and thank him for sparkin' this good idea....

Louis, I think that guy's local to me up here. If not, there's a guy up here that constantly posts the same type of add. If it's the same guy, his name is Tom, and his email is ruttman1970@wowway.com or something like that. He contacted me about some frames I had for sale, said he'd come by the the next day to buy them, and I haven't heard from him since. That was a week ago today....

Be honest, when you travel or drive through a new town do you check for shops or thrift stores, etc. where you are? I do and have scored some nice stuff that way. Should I have stayed in my hotel room when I had some free time on a business trip because I was in someone else's area? Please.

I guess up until now you have ONLY searched through Winter Haven and avoided any of the surrounding area because it's not "your town."

Alright now, Rob is not here so quit it. lol. I posted a ad like that on the CL many times and got nowhere. At least here in town. Orlando is a real dead town for BMX. Not that many scores. Nobody saved anything. Many think once it`s over 2 years old it`s garbage so they throw it out.
