I found out Friday that S&M is bringing back the chrome slams again after a short break. Also Eastern is going to have there Grim Reaper Frame, Ultralight bars and forks available in chrome this year too. I got so geeked I put a Chrome Grim on order for myself.
I can't wait the see the jaws drop on all the young pups at the local park when I come wheeling in on that shiney beast.

I had my 2005 T1 dipped:

I've always loved the chrome.
I'm somewhat interested in a chrome Grim Reaper.

Chrome frames is ! What about forks?
All we need now is some cool style grips like Ame or Oakley and some HP 1.75/1.85X20 etc.. skinwall tires either RL Edges, GT, Haro Multi Surface.
Chase tires would be cool in skinwall and KHE skinwall Lamello tires are a cross between an oldschool GT and Haro Multi Surface tire. The smallest they make is 1.95.

Don't call it a comeback
Chrome's been here for years
Rockin' its peers
Puttin' suckers in fear
Makin' the tears rain down like a monsoon
Listen to the bass go boom
Explosion, overpowerin'
Over the competition, chrome's towerin'
Records shock
When chrome drops these lyrics
That'll make you call the cops
Don't you dare stare
You betta move
Don't ever compare chrome to the rest
They'll all get sliced and diced
Competition's payin' the price
Chrome gonna knock you out...
Currently running Chrome Ody GI bars, also got some Chrome Fly Racing bars in the shed, with some old Chrome Torker 1-1/8 990 forks. I wish someone would offer some chrome forks that don't weigh a ton.
Is the Eastern frame the one with all the weird cut-outs? If so, even if its chrome, I'll pass. Currently riding a DK Transmitter frame (just under 5lbs) so really not interested in a new frame (even if chrome) that's not the same weight.
Where did you take your T-1 frame to get it chromed, and what was the cost? That may be something I'd look into with the Transmitter frame!

There's a place here in Austin that does it.
I had my frame, Oddessy Race forks and T-1 medium bars plated and my seatpost polished for $300.
Not bad for something sweet and different.
It's funny because people just don't know what to think at first.
It's like they think it's a Wal*Mart bike at first.

Those are Ody race forks? Do you have a brake plate or did you have 990s welded to it?

Ahh yes, the ever elusive race fork with 990 mounts...
Odyssey is coming out with them for '07. They are called the freestyle fork.

My bad, they're DIRT forks.
My memory is slipping in my old age.

Sorry to drop in here on the freestyle site but since you guys like chrome here is my 2005 Welham ProXL race bike just to show off the blings.

I figure you guys could appreciate the chrome even if it was not a freestyle ride.

Well, I sent you a pm, and you haven't responded. So, maybe you'll check this post:
To Wheelie Nelson, can you give some more info on the place that "chromed" your T-1? Name, phone number, contact person, etc. I would really be interested in getting my DK Transmitter frame "chromed". Thanks.

By the way, if you don't want to wait on chrome Slam bars, you can get chrome Fly racing bars, virtually the same, and a little less dough. They're what I run.
