Does anyone know how to tell the difference?

Do a miami hopper on what you have. If it breaks it's a trickstar fork. If it doesn't it's a windstyler fork.

Paul,
That was low, you know how many Hutch guys are on here. They're going to take offense to that. Even though it's true (did I say that out loud)?

Thanks for the info and pictures guys!
You guys have confirmed what I was thinking. Aside from the obvious biggest distinguishing characteristic - the hole in the end of the forkstander. The WS forks are also longer and have thinner dropouts.
I would say it would be almost impossible to get these two forks confused.

I had a 85 WS bitd and I really don't remember if the FS had holes in the end but I do remember who short they were. My feet still ache from those things. They did hold up to lots of Miami Hoppers though. LOL. Just my .02.

Guys I don't think ALL WS forks had those holes in them. You can look at the radius of the bend on the fork legs and the thickness of the DO to decipher every time
However if the holes are there you will know immediately

My Windstyler doesn't have holes in the ends of the pegs.

Good thread, I always wondered the difference as well. Now me wonder no more.

addendum--after stripping the thick rattle-can paint off, there are holes in the ends of the pegs on my Windstyler.
