It looks so real. Old plywood, wearing shorts when riding, one leg off, even the air they are getting. Totally opposite of today style of riding.

I would love to see Blyther come to our local park one Sat night and just TEAR IT UP without Girl pants on. LOL
Looks like a blast guys. Wish we all could have been there.

I love the shots! My overwhelming question is, how do you pull such high airs on a ramp lacking anywhere close to vert? I see the guys doing it all the time and I try to pull hard out but I hook up every time.

Here are some pictures of the important parts of this ramp. The Bar...... this would be a great place to have Freemans Flashback 2006.
Oscar also has a nice collection of vintage bikes and other goodies..

As for the ramp, it would have been nice to have a little vert, it actually stops right at vert. As far as pulling off high airs Brian told me to just hit the copping with your front tire and it positions you correctly.

THIS THREAD ROCKS!
Seeing Brian air with Dave in the back ground took me back to about 1985 at the Castleton Mall in Indy. I've got nearly that same picture at home from about 20+ years ago.
Great, just great, now I want to build a ramp again.

Bust, join the club. I'm dying to build a ramp again too. Luckily both of my kids are big into skateboarding and they both want a mini half which I am more than happy to build for them.....of course as far as my wife knows it WILL be for them but I'm not saying I won't be taking full advantage of it as well. Just wish I had a backyard bigger than a postage stamp. Gotta love southern California.

You know whats so great about htose pictures? It looks like the old halfpipe contests they used to have in the mid 80's. Like the ones at Mike Buff's place. Total grassroots. Todays ramp contests are amazing, and huge, but something cool about a jam on a private ramp like that in a backyard. Nice shots Xavier.
