Thanks Mark, lol this scene always makes me feel so uneasy. Probably because I know that there are about 5 different guys stunt riding for Cru and Lori (or whatever her name is in the movie...my speakers are broken).
How many dances have you attended that actually had a play by play announcer?
It's funny that they completely ignore the fact that there are straight cables on both bikes, despite the fact that the bars are spinning like crazy. The freewheel/directdrive switcheroo I can ignore but even a non BMX'er might wonder how they got away with the bars spinning with brake cables.

just watched it.... Even cheesier than I remember it! PERFECT!!
I love when she's 'posing' on the bike. It so obvious the thing is mounted to a metal rack so it doesnt move.

Don't forget Pat Romano. Oh and for some reason I thought they hauled in Fred Blood do to the decade...but I could be wrong there. I would imagine that Woody and Martin would have been on top of that...although the decade sure does look "Fred Bloodish" to me (no offense Martin/Woody/Eddie if it's really you).

Woody wasn't in RAD. He had a busted foot at the time of filming.
It's clearly Martin doing the infinity roll at the end.
And as Strike said - Pat Romano is doing a LOT of the riding in that footage.

Weren't some of you guys thinking about re-shooting (reenacting) the opening scene and credits, you should go ahead and reenact this scene while your at it!
Who wants to wear those 4 inch heals while doing a slow motion timemachine?
Now that would be something to watch!

I'm not sure what's more bizarre, that scene in Rad, or the Star Wars Bar in Tatooine.
Greedo looks normal compared to some of the outfits in that scene from Rad.

My favorite is the close up of Cru doing the cherrypicker. He's hopping up and down but the bike isn't moving. Man, we are too spoiled now in the "CG days". Gotta love the good old days.

seriously, does anyone know if we'll ever get an official dvd release of this?
i'm always tempted to buy the homemade ones off of ebay, but every time i tell myself, "oh they'll probably just release it next year"...and then it never comes.
