When I got my new school bike, it was so heavy, and weirdly balanced that I thought I couldn't bunnyhop anymore, I would just loop out...

Well, I've been switching parts trying to get the weight down and last night I tried one again.

My bike finally feels "just right".

no footed endo anyone?

bazooka!

Great pics!

The weird thing about bunnyhops is I can only do them well if I am actually going over something like a carboard box.

Cool pics! I see you changed your forks. What else did you change? I want to get my bike lighter too.

Suelo forks (thanks catfish) really light
redline monster cranks
aluminum frame (wtp stud)
new wheelset w/freecoaster Haro 48 radial laced.
Went back to my old tech 77's with locking levers, they just feel "right".
Circus sprocket

I don't know what it weighs now, but I'd guess about 25-28 pounds.

I could still change my pegs, bars, and stem. But, It feels fine where it is, I'll probably wait till something breaks, or I get bored with it.

Its fun being the photographer and rider. I nailed the composition on some of those shots. Not easy when you are sitting the camera on a box, and hitting the timer button.

Heres a grasshopper

I like the framing of this pic best.

funky chicken

Now get off your duffs and take some pics tonight! lol

Yup, I've been rolling my same pair since way back. For me it's just one of those why change a good thing things. "If it ain't broke, don't fix" it I always say. Same for grips - still running the Ame tris.

When I got my first new-school bike together I couldn't believe how low I was bunny hopping. Flatted twice on a set of stairs that used to be a piece of cake. I've gone bar height back in the day but probably would be around wheel height if that these days. May have to pull out some boxes in front of the house and start again. You got me thinkin' about it...

Cool shots.
