Listen...I dont know the whole story and it gets more convoluted everytime I get another email.
So this is what I'm going to do. If I hear about, receive an email about or even think there is still a problem here, I will shut this forum down. Kill it, no longer available not returning.
You schmucks need to grow up and get over it all ready. Knock of the highschool hijinks, quit following each other around to other forums and antagonizing each other.
If you dont like somebody, ignore them. Dont read their posts. Dont reply to their posts and dont bid on their silly auctions on ebay.
Ebay problems are just that. Problems for ebay to sort out. Dont create drama here due to an Ebay deal gone bad.
Dont test me, I'm not in the mood for it. Do not email us about this either. One more communication to me or any of the other Admins or Mods and I'm pulling the plug!
Consider that a promise.
Have a great day!

Really, if the forum gets yanked, can we have a picture of this year's Best in Show Rockford trophy for anyone who clicks the link? Only because we would at least want all the new members to think "those guys build such awesome bikes, they had to remove their board"???
But in all seriousness, it wouldn't be fair to punish all of us if a few members continue to cause trouble. Since it's so easy to spot rotten apples, just pick them from the bunch. Until it happens, I'm afraid there's going to be an occasional flare up. Chancing all this isn't fair to those who remember the spirit of collecting and forming new friendships. Keep us free from evil, lol! Save the board!

why not just remove the problem members? I do it all the time on the board i Mod. we have 40,000 members there and i throw out minumum of 5 guys a day.

I agree with Hal, this stuff takes way too much out of the spirit of this board- bicycles and the crazy folks who spend hours and tons of $ collecting them.
I'd hate to see the board shut down because of a few dishonest people and their off-site shenanigans which, unfortunately, spill onto this board.
This recent row has taught me a good lesson...stay friends with the one I've known and dealt with- Stephen- and be wary of some others.

Besides the fact I don't know the whole story either, shutting these forums down because of some fight between a few guys would be horrible.
A lot of us have become great friends through these forums and that quality alone is what makes this place the best bmx forums on the net. Nobody on here should jeopordize that! Ruining threads with "flame wars" is highly aggravating to moderators of websites, and they don't deserve the headache and the waste of time it creates.
On a more positive note, I'd like to say "thanks" to vintagebmx.com for all that it's done for me personally, as well as the hobby in general.

I agree... many friendships have been created as a result of this site. Thanks to you guys for creating it. I'd also hate to see a few ruin it for the rest of us.
For the most part, this is still one of the most respectable public boards I've ever come across on the internet.

I agree 100% with Hal. Quit the whining and deal with it between yourselves, like men. No need to drag it out in a public forum for all to see.
Good call Hal.

I believe that the Positive/Negative area of this forum should help assuage the problems that have happened in the past. It was a welcome addition.

The probelm needs to be taken to the Powdercoater. He's the one that screwed up.

I guess I'd probably be fed up too, it sounds like you've been bombarded with this stuff.
Wish people would deal with others directly rather than make a game out of it on the forum. This isn't the place for that.

Deleting this forum would be a kick in the gut to all the guys that live and breathe this stuff.
I'm going to use my 1000th post to say that I appreciate everything VBMX has done to help resurgence the spirit of BMX/Freestyle. There are a lot of good times to be had here with plenty of more to come in the not so distant future.
Stay RAD!!

Hal, I have too say that I love this site. It would be a blow to the people that support bmx through collecting. Too close this site down. I am not going too get into the middle of that mess, but .AS someone stated earier. .This should have been taken up with the powdercoater. Not on this board. All the people that blasted away at either side? What did it have tooo do with you? Nothing!!!!. So what , your friend was being attacked. Does that give you the right too attack the other person? NO!!!! Dont strike out against something that you have no controle over. Let the parties involved deal with it. Your .02 can and will shut this board down. IF YOU ARE NOT INVOLVED IN THIS STUPID **** . STOP BOTHERING THE FOUNDING FATHERS WITH HEARSAY....

I have to agree 100% with retrodave!
Deal with it on your own time in your own way, not here where quite frankly most of us don't care!!

The powder coater and the stolen Handlebars is only one part of the big scheme of things that has been going for a long time, and some people just were getting tired of it...
I kept my "Handlebar" issue within my personal PM's - and all that got one, know that.
I only posted to the other's posts that were already started, and that was also when the member in question was playing it off and making joking comments and sarcastic agreance to them as well....sort of playing along.
