I built this bike and posted it here once before (early this year) but even I was not totally satisfied with it.
So i decided to redo it. The goal from the start was to build an ALL nos, All Peregrine bike. Well I accomplished that as close as i could.
The only parts on this bike that are not nos are the front brake, q-bars (but I had them rechromed), and the wheels. Everything else is 100% nos.
The only non Peregrine parts are the gyro (Odyssey), and rear brake (Dia Compe 990). Every other part is Peregrine.
Some of my closeups didn't come out so I will post some more pics tomorrow, but for now here it is.....

I couldn't have built this bike without several of my vbmx bros but I want to especially thank Ndprts4hro, serva, and smokin endo for some very important pieces on this bike.
Thanks bros!
Mr. Clean

What a great build!!! I'm a big fan of off the beaten path bikes...thats awesome...didnt peregrine make their own rotor? sort of a gyro top and spinmaster bottom with a double upper cable and a single lower cable, or is my alzimers kicking in?
serva
Awesome Scott! You know I've been waiting to see this for a while now and I'm very impressed. She's so CLEAN! I love peregrine stuff and this just screams it!

I bet it feels great to complete mate!

It has a very subtle look, I really like that in a bike........CLASSY!

Awesome Scott! Well done indeed! Those bars turned out excellent!

What is the 'model' of that frame anyway? I've heard some people refer to it as the Peregrine LePage? was that the official name?
HAROFAN
Very Nice build!!! Great job..

What a knucklehead I was! Does anyone else remember when those frame/forks NOS were selling for $65 a couple years ago?

Brian
rcrscott29
Yeah they are Redline Flight cranks.
I forgot that in the original post but those are one other item NOT Peregrine on the bike. Sorry for the confusion.
I would love to find a nos set of peregrine cranks but I'm not willing to mortgage my house, sell my cars, and auction off my son to pay for them. LOL
Thanks for the compliments everyone. Other than my cruiser this is my only bike without tuffs.... and I love it.
Hmmm hope this didn't start a trend for me. lol

BrianP - which decals are you reffereing to? I did redo the rim decals but thats it. I did that version and I can do ones that look almost identical to the originals.

Anybody know what the proper name for this Peregrine is? Is it a Peregrine LePaige? A Peregrine Freestyler? A Peregrine LePaige Freestyler?
serva
I think Timo [ 2fresh ]would know, he has a cool peregrine aswell.
outriding
what, those are redline cranks? they look very similar to the peregrine ones, you could have fooled me.
Your missing one more thing, the pegs!
rcrscott29
I actually have a nos set of Peregrine pegs, but I had bought them before I got the wheels and the threads don't match. Axles are 26t and the pegs are 24t. And I didn't want to change the axles.
So pegs will be added as soon as I can either adapt these to fit or find another nos set in 26t.

Definately something u don't see everyday. Very cool! I always liked those frames.
