the serial number is 5x52700 baseball on the inside rear dropout.
What year is this, and what are the original stickers for this frame?
I'm not too good with the freestyle side. I don't know if it is a performer, pro performer or what. The frame was originally pink, I can see some spray in the BB shell, and inside the rear tubes. And I know that the baseball symbol means Japanese made.
Thanks for any input.

Easier to ID with a pic. Especially with post '87 frames.

Best guess is that it is an 85' frame. It should have a GT 4130 stamped on the rear oval, no brake mounts on the lower chainstay.

It does have the 4130 stamped, with a small opening at the bottom. No brake mounts, has three holes in the rear dropouts. And a coaster brake tab.
What are the correct stickers for an 85?

85 was made in the US so it shouldn't have a baseball symbol... also US frames would indicate month and year of manufacture with the first 4 digits of the serial number.

Is there a cable stop or guides on the bottom of the downtube or bottom bracket? You most definitely have a post 86 Tai frame.

I'll have to break out the camera this weekend and post some pictures.
I don't recall any cable stops or guides on the bike anywhere. But I'll double check. I will be away from the bike untill late this evening.
Tai frames also used the baseball symbol? I did not know that.
Thanks for all the info so far. I'll get the pictures up soon.

Some 85 frames where made in Japan Then in 86 they went to Tawain. The baseball symbols are on the 85 Japan made frames. The small hole under the GT 4130 was so the liquid could be drained during the chroming process.

The pics don't show it, but there is no bridge to mount a brake on the lower half of the rear triangle and there is no cable guide. 87' + frames are stamped GT not GT 4130. The frame geometry is also shorter then 87' + frames just like the 84-86 frames.

I stand corrected. I always thought the baseball symbol was on Taiwanese frames? I am pretty sure that production moved to Taiwan for the 87 model year though. I have a Japanese 86 Dyno.

I agree with you that the move to Taiwan happened for the 1987 models. Does the 86' Japanese Dyno have a similair Serial number?

it's an early production 1986 model built in late 1985, in japan.
