eliu, then what about 87 and 88 (plus many other years) haro bikes? they were chrome under the poweder.

The '88 Master was wet painted, not powdered. They're two different methods.

You can do it man.....easy! take a look. Powder will always be more resilient.

You have a few options, depending on how much use they will see, or how important they are to you. If prepped right you can powder over solid chrome and it will be just as durable as most paint over bare metal, but anytime I get a frame that's peeling, high value, or high usage I'll send it to my chromer to get removed first. If it's just faded and dull, we sand it with 220 grit and run it through the normal process.

as for a daily rider and things you might get scratched it would not be a good idea to invest money on it

yes i know there are alot of bike who had powder coating on but if it is something to use daily not the best idea

Powdercoating is ten times more durable than any paint, yes even over chrome. 99.99% of powdercoated parts get sandblasted before the powder is put on, so the slickness of chrome is really a non issue. I have dropped wrenches on it without a mark. I can't think of a better product to use on a daily used bike? Why would it not be the best idea?,,,,OS
