Sources say someone with a 24k gold trickstar and a fondness for fast automobiles...

That would be Mad Max

No - Earl was good as his word and offered me the frame for the same price as his offer, but it was too rich for me. Fair play to Earl, though - he stuck to his promise.

This may be a stupid question, but why is it on a Hutch box?

I suppose Earl just grabbed whatever was handy to set the frame on...an NOS Hutch & Box being one of those things.

How come you didn't grab that pup Twin?
That's probably one of the only NOS frames of that make around.

Wow, haven't seen you on here in forever! Nice to see you!
He probably did...just keeping it a secret until Rockford '07

Not to mention I think James has a pretty good idea of what he has...maybe he has more than one

Jack,
I'm lucky enough to have a NOS red Trix in my little stable and I believe Earl doesn't have any others.

Earl "only" has chrome.
I'm with you James, I like the red better!

Although the more I look at it, the more I like it. If I were fortunate enough to afford the thing, I'd powder up a bunch of parts in the maroon color on the front of the decal. Yellow tires, seat and grips. Niice...
The frame looks dead nuts to the pic I posted of Martin riding the prototype frame. The only real difference being the rear chain stay standers. Martins appear to be duct taped on! Same basic design though.
Could you imagine buying this thing, and making a Martin replica? You'd have to remove the chome and bring the frame back to it's natural finish!

Hello guys. I still find time to stop by now and then.
That's right, I forgot that you already had one James. Couldn't hurt to snatch another one up, LOL.....
Someone got a really cool and rare frame. Not too many of those made PERIOD.
Earl's stuff is cool, but you'll have to drop a house payment or two for a cool NOS frame!! Just ask me, I've done it too.
So James, did you talk to Woody alot about your pink Trickstar build up? During the 24k gold Trickstar build up, I asked him some questions about your project and he laughed and said that we know more about the bikes he rode than he does.

You could make a Vanderspek replica with that one though...wheel covers and all!
