ok, can someone explain to me why some of the pro performer or pro freestyle tour frames have what looks like a "round" platform/toptube junction. and most seem to not have this?

here is a example (best i can do at the moment)

this is the second 87 gt pro performer or pro freestyle tour that i had that has this junction. both though have/had the same start of the serial at "187XXXXX"

just wondering if anyone else had a frame like this?

I thought all the pro performers and pro freestyle tours from 87-88 were like that

here is a better view i think:

if you look closely both the seatstays "meet". its just like how the platforms tubes meet on the trickstars, you know, "round like." what i see usually is that they don't meet, and the bends are like 45 degrees.

i just look too closely at stuff.

I know what you`re talking about. The single bend GTs have more of an angle than a curve.

do you mean where the seatstay meets the toptube?
carldrexler
yeah, where the seatstays are welded to the toptube

I have an 87 Pro Performer single bend . Ithought that that was the differences between the two

t the single bend in 87 was only on the performer. pp and pft had the double bend downtube

hey rick, were you the guy with the photo account with all this gt stuff?

and yes, 87 single bend is only performer, if it has cable guides then thats what it is. if no cable guides are present, it is something older.
