I happened across a set of the tiny knurled pegs for the forks of Redline RL20IIs and Kuwahara Bravos. Are they the same thing, or is there anything that differentiates the two? Either way, they were a podiatrist's nightmare.

Interesting question. I have seen pegs that have slight differences. There's no way to differentiate them as far as I know. I would think that both Redline and Kuwahara sourced the same manufacturer. No markings on them makes it difficult.

I've seen some where the 'nut' near the threads is wider than other....dunno if thats a year diffference or a mfg difference between the ones source for redlines versus kuwies

Send them to me, I can tell the diffrence!

Both made by Anlun. The Brava's I had were slightly more rounded on the end then Redline's I had at the time. Same other then that, and that detail could vary I guess.

According to our resident RL expert- RL20II Guy- the 88 RL pegs were a bit bigger and had 4 stripes cut around them, also have little flattened off edges...see photo:

The 88 pegs were quite a bit larger.

Chip, what about the 85 Redline pegs? Were those made by Anlun? The 85 Redlines were made in Japan, not Taiwan. Were those made by Anlun?
