well this is kind of ironic, i was just got ask a dyno question. i have a frame set looks just like that, multiple spray bomb jobs. any way the serial is
3860912. march 86 i presume. so the question is , when did they start dyno production?
eliu eric
i actually do not know myself this would be my first vintage dyno

i know there are catalogs for 87 and 88 around but no idea about older then that

eliu, that bike looks like a Dyno, good deal...

BTW, dont EVER post a link to your ebay wins until you actually receive it, this caused some issues a few weeks ago (remember the Quadangle looptail that a member purchased for $250, and then never got the bike)

The Dyno D-30 frameset was available by mid 1985. The first Dyno Compe completes were available by mid to late 1985. I bought one in November 1985. The Gen 1 Dyno has a single plate support behind the seat mast at the top tube platform. Some time in 1986 they added a second plate because this was found to be a week area in the frame. Later Dynos have a boxed in support. rick, it looks like you have an early 86 US built frame if the serial number is on the dropout. 85's and 86's were built in the US and Japan. Production for all Dyno models except the Pro Compe moved to Taiwan in 1987.

Looks like an early example. Those were neat. Can't beat the price!

paulie, thanks for the response. just checked it and it is double plate. and number is on the dropout.
are there any decals for it around? i'm more of a race guy but i've always liked that green one with the white performer mags and blue bits from the ad that was on the back of BMXA. have the wheels so its doable.
