Newbie here so big hello to all.

I've got a raw Streetbeat frame set on the way from the US. I love the recent competition builds. I don't expect to get anywhere close to that sort of detail but can someone point me in the right direction so I can find a list of the stock parts supplied with the first 85 bikes. Cheers

85's were sold as a frame/fork combo. whatever parts the local bike store wanted to put on they would. skyways first complete bike was the 86 street styler which came with ez bars. skyway o.e.'s and a hot seat everything else was low end base taiwan parts.

Ah, right. That gives me options then. So was it the same deal for the later Streetbeats as well?

The later street beats were available as completes, 88's for sure (which had the two-tone chrome / color scheme) and had 990's on the rear. The rest, I don't know for sure...
welcome aboard the site!!

since they were frame and forks only you can put any parts on it from the era and it would be correct

The Street Beat was available in 86 as a complete bike...it had better parts on it than the street scene had, Tuff 2s, Odsy 2000 brakes, 2 tone paint, full cro mo...I think the street scene may have been trimoly ?
