a 1987 gt pro performer frame, fork, bars and seat post. the frame, fork, and seat post have a flat black spray paint job wich isnt bad but its chipped here and there. the bars sitll have the gt blue paint wich is in bad shape. there are no dents, dings, cracks or rewelds. its got all the cable guides and the cablestop for the underside u-brake.
im not 100% sure about selling it but i want to know if i did what i could get for it.

Don't feel bad, I meet lots of people who think they're sitting on a gold mine. "I'll sell if the price is right" usually means "I think this thing is worth a fortune." I tell 'em to put it on eBay and see for themselves!

well For your information i dont think im sitting on a gold mine but if you read the origional message it clearly states that im not sure about selling it. i realized that if it would go for $100 i mite as well get it powdered and build it up. thats all,it had nothin to do with me expectin more i just decided to keep it.
thanks

I sold my white 87 performer complete for $275 a few months ago. There's no way to predict the BMX market at any given time.

considering it doesnt have all the original paint and decals, I dont think you could really make too much off the pro performer frame.

Performer, Pro, same frame.

no, they arent.
performer has 1 bend in downtube for 1987.
for pro performer and pro freestyle tour, they use the new frame for 87, with 2 bends in the downtube.

mnew is right about the 87's, from then on the s bend was used until the early 90s. what im wondering is though, when did the single bend performers stop being made?

the 89' performers had the 1 bend, and the 94's had the one bend at the bottom rather than the top. so somewhere between there, the performers had a S type without the 990s. ill look into it.

Whoops, I was thinking about the earlier ones, '85 and '86. THOSE are the same---single bend on both, the difference being the parts. Didn't realize the S bend started in '87, thought it was '88. That style frame can be built into a Performer, PP, or World Tour for the earlier years.
