I have a 80's model GT Pro Performer in restorable condition. It's white with white mag wheels, chrome fold down front pegs, platform rear pegs. It's got the rotor and the brakes have the old shoe shaped pads. I want a road bike (a firefighters got to be in good shape, and my shape is becoming round!!). I'm curious of the value of this bike to see if I should sell it or hang on to it for sentimental reasons.

resq305

if it has been your bike since you were a kid. keep it, you will regret selling it. fix it up again and use it. you can just as much exercise on it as a regular road bike if you work hard.

The old "what's it worth?" question...
Depends on who wants it, what's it worth to you? You may not realize it at the moment but it may be worth more to you than you think at the present moment.

Everyone will have a different answer on 'worth'.

Spend some time around here, read some stories, take a look at builds, get some tips, hit ebay/for sale adds, maybe show up at Rockford and who knows...you may stick around.

Ah, ah, ah, that is not true... "WE" do know what it is worth...The problem is "YOU" (and myself) never know who "WE" are...(the answer is always, always 1 Dolllar more than the last guy bid on ebay!!!)
Spicoli
those 80s GTs are all over the place, and aint worth much...nobody really digs GTs either...Id say 60-70 bucks if its mint...

Put in on ebay and let anyone that wants it fight over it... whatever it sells for is whatever it was worth on that day, at that time.

Let your kid ride it or save it until you have kids.
Old School Daddy
Save it. Stick around the site and read some posts. It will all come back to you and you may get the itch again.
