Not 100% sure but I think there is a picture of a magazine article in Joe Kid of someone doing one.
I think the guy in the clip is Stu Thompson.

Yep the first documented was Stu and it was called a "helicopter"

Its crazy that a three would make you a pro back in the day and now first year riders like myself can sometimes do them and well no one knows who I am. Nowadays its a 360 whip and you might be a pretty good rider.
