I've never seen this before and it's really cool. I can't get it to play in the post here, but here's a link to it. If the link doesn't work, just go to youtube.com and search for "Bob Haro". It's some totally old school freestyle. Just awesome!!! It's just over 5 minutes long. Awesome!!!!!!!

I saw that the other day but someone else posted the vid here on vintage. I tell ya, Bob had some skills huh. Smooth too. Thats the kind of riding that blew minds circa 1980-82 because no one was doing it, it was fresh, cutting edge, creative...and RAD!!

O.M.G. BEYOND COOL !!! I still think of Bob as " DA MAN " He always made those back wheel 720 looks so easy. Also O.M.G. was that the very 1st ever manual he did ? Or back then was it just called a coasting wheelie ? HA HA HA either way brilliant

donvader - Thanks for posting this. I have been wanting to see video of Bob forever. Awesome piece. Not only was Bob cool riding, but a class act in the end interview. I was hoping that we'd get a closer shot of his bike, but all in all...great video. THANKS!!!

Too cool, thanks for posting! Anybody recognize the interviewer? None other than Phil Liggett, voice of the Tour de France today.

Thanks so much for posting that: I was there watching that demo, it was The Halfords Nations Cup at The NEC, Birmingham.
It was an amazing day, I raced (moto fooder, broke my forks on the second jump, OTB but thats another story) and then my friends and I watched the Freestyle comp/demo followed by Bob's Demo, it was an amazing day out for a 13 year old.

I remember that day well, I cant believe its 25 years ago. I hadnt even got a bike then, but really wanted one and went with a school friend of mine who had a bike. That quarter pipe looks so small now, propping it up on one side is none other than Andy Ruffell, top UK racing pro.

Considering how long ago that was and how tiny the ramp is, thats some BIG air that Bob is getting there.
That Phil Liggett interview is a classic, whenever one of our gang used to do a big air, they'd quote the line 'Well, Bob, I've seen you go up in the air and turn around, how do you get the courage to make that move and go so high!' It always used to make us laugh, the joys of childhood!!

What is so much more important than the great riding was his professional approach and "ambassadorship" of the sport. He was so well spoken and calm for a young man, not to mention the gear he had made!

What a stud not easy to do a show by yourself. So smooth i miss quarter pipes and kick turn ramps.Things just wouldent be the same without BOB HARO the true king.
