I don't care ! LOL I really have no idea how this type of stuff happens to me but today I meet up with my wife for lunch and on my way home I'm cruising along in the passing lane (we do that in NJ LMAO) when I see a very fast flash of purplish pink out of the corner of my eye ! Well about 15 feet ahead is a right hand turn (((((EEEERR OOOOvvverrrr I go ! cut around the block pop out at the next street and BAM ! There it was ! Just laying there for the Trash men to come back for Thank God I saw this thing because it was headed to the dump..... Till I came alone ! The Trash Picker

Did I mention there where two bikes ? Man I really have to start carrying my camera with me all the time !

Lucky bast**d! The only thing I ever find is trouble. Good score. One day I will find one of those for my wife (or me).
twintoptuber
Thank goodness you didn't opt for the monicker "trashcan man" because I would be afraid of you bringing an A bomb to Rockford.

Unreal.... this happens to you ALL the time!! It's almost too much for me to handle anymore, and I'm not sure if we can be friends any longer!

I just paid 50 bucks for one of those white GT mallet stems!! UGH!
steef
Nice picks!

The last thing I found waiting for the trash was a rusty Murray Track certified and an even rustier unidentifiable one. They were chrome so I had to stop...
Smokin Endo
Thanks Guys ! Jeff I'm cracking up over here ! Is that why you didn't answer your phone ?

Yup A Hot Streak and it is in cleaner shape then the GT but the GT is a GT LOL
akcuda
Too cool! Are those white MX-1000s and a GT Epoch Peak HS I spy? You consistently have the best luck--good on you

Last week I was out of the office in the morning (picking up my wifes birthday present, so I had the f350 dually).

I took home her present and dropped off the truck and came back to work in my TL. When I walked in the door, two of my salesmen told me that they had seen two brightly colored bikes in the trash up the street from the office... It was almost 10:30 by then. I was like, WHY DIDN'T you call me.

I drove like a madman over there and the trash men had already picked them up....

I will never know, but the guys know now to call me on my cell if they ever see anymore.

"FREE"enterprise

always on the lookout.

That's a great score, especially for that price.

The only thing I ever found in the trash was a mid 90's Dyno VFR.

85? DB Hot Streak...sweet. Oh yeah the GT is nice too-LOL.

Seriously, I'm into the DB's right now (and probably for another 2 or 3 days) as I scored a free 87 Hot Streak F+F and bars a few days ago.
MNW
Smokin' endo... I'll be there with bells on.

Now there's one more set of eyes in NJ checking out trash piles and garage sales for hidden treasures.

That is a great find.Since i really don't know much about the performer years is that 3 holes I see in the rear drop outs?So what year would that make it.I was thinking the decals was different on the 3 hole models.I could be wrong though.I am just going by what i read on here.
Tanker Kranker

Congrats on the saves!
I'll throw this out there again. One of the best places to find these things is at your local scrap metal yard. The good ones will have some giant bins just packed with bikes! The more up to date city dumps have guys pulling all recycleable scrap out and it gets sold to the yards. Only problem is that you usually find some VERY good stuff with dings, dents, and cracks! But at least they can still be saved!
