So aside from RAD, Joe Kid, and Bmx Bandits, what other bmx movies are out there? I mean real movies, not just videos. Also, is there a real RAD CD soundtrack and any word if it will ever be officially released on DVD with extras and stuff.
JayBayMX
Don't forget about E.T.
JMC Racer
Besides the opening theme from RAD, the soundtrack was cheesy as heck! But i guess it was the sign of the times back then!
Old School Daddy
Just watched ET tonight with the kids. Didn't even think about it. What else?
Spicoli
I cant think of many movies were BMX was the main theme, but how about the Brady Bunch kids ridin the old Schwinns...Best episode... when Peter got fired from the bike shop.

On Any Sunday ? old MX movie I think (never saw it) I hears theres some vintage BMX stuff in it though.
Nighthawk
Quicksilver, with (who else) Kevin Bacon. He plays a bike messenger... some of his riding buddies are Martin Aparijio, Woody, Pat Romano... there's a brief scene of some freestylin' that I remember.
604 Rider
E.T. maybe
Spicoli
C.H.I.P.s had some cool BMX stuff too, how about the episode were Grossman customized a BMX bike to look like a Police motorcycle..
teamtotal
Dont know if they'll class it as a BMX movie but check out the trailer for upcoming movie "Stick-it" http://touchstone.movies.go.com/ Scotty Cramner filmed all the BMX parts... that kid is something else....

What are some good videos though? I want to see footage from BITD.
Is there anything and where can i get it?

Karate Kid - Pat Romano
is the first thing that leapt into my mind.
Jay Huber
That is a great scene in Quicksilver, Martin A and some of the other pros from bitd doing brakeless boomerangs on ten speeds. Definitely worth a look.

just as a side note, did anyone ever catch the episode of the A team where murdock buys a bike off a kid to chase the bad guys, and it ends up being a blue 84-85 world tour, it's only in a few seconds of the episode, but it was rather unmistakeable for the time period
RL-20II Guy
Police Academy either 3 or 5, can not remember, but there is a fast scene of a kid doing a Cherry Picker out front of a building......

Not BMX but if you are thinking bicycle movies, these are a few others that come to mind...

Breaking Away (a classic everyone needs to see- "Refund!" )
American Flyers (with Kevin Costner hehe)
The Triplets of Belleville (cartoon about The Tour)
The Bicyce Thief
Beijing Bicycle
A Sunday In Hell (1976 Paris-Roubaix documentary)

Pee Wee's Big Adventure. A little bit of Pat Romano, but an absolutely hilarious movie otherwise...about a boy trying to find his stolen bike.

Funny story about that Chips episode (one that revolved completely around racing). Larry Wilcox (Jon), was apparently really into BMX at the time. He even had his own bmx company back then. I remember he had ads in bmx action. Anyway, I think I remember reading that there was some kind of benefit race, and Wilcox went over the bars on the first set of jumps and broke some ribs... anyone have that issue of BMX Action? It was a whole article on the chips episode.

Actually, I have that episode on dvd...

Yup, quicksilver is a must see for any oldschooler. You'll immediately recognize Woody, Martin and Pat Romano.

Anybody remember the video for "Heartbeat" by Don Johnson? He had a singing career that lasted about 5 minutes towards the end of the Miami Vice days. Anyway, the video for that song had some freestyle dudes doing tricks in it! Haven't seen the video since the 80's.
Old School Daddy
Pee Wee does have a pretty cool bmx thing going on in the beginning. I forgot about that.
Spicoli
Pee-Wee was Rad...
Old School Daddy
I Love The 80s Strikes Back shows part of the Don J. video, but no freestylin scenes. Too bad!
bmx joe
The last remake of Leave it to Beaver movie were the Beav gets his dream bmx bike and gets stolen. Also Clockstoppers got a few mountain bike action scenes. Eddie Fiola does bike stunt work for both films. Leave it to Beaver movie might be last footage of Eddie ever riding a GT bike. I think movie was made in the late 90's. I know there were some other movies that had bmx, but these two I remember for now.
Old School Daddy
I gotta go to the video store...

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. Classic.

Just remember another movie that had a little BMX in it. Remember that movie from late 80's.
Better off Dead starring John Cusack and that Hot chick at the time Diane Franklin that was on Last American Virgin that also was in the movie? Even Curtis Armstrong the one that played booger and also in Risky Business stars in the movie. Very funny movie till this day and one of my favorite John Cusack movies. BMX part in the movie is that the newspaper boy chases him on bmx bike though out the whole movie for $2.00 that he owes for newspaper. One of the best parts is when they do the night seen and there is a bunch of BMX'ers after him, also the ski slope seen is funny.

CHIPS oh my god!! I totaly remember that Racing episode!! Thanks for reminding me. Was that the same episode where the kids are skating in a pool?? (When i say 'skating' I mean on roller skates or NASH boards.)

I have not watched it myself, but looks like Young Detectives on Wheels is another one released around 1989. Sounds alot like BMX Bandits.

"Three million dollars worth of jewels have been stolen from a local museum, and Sandra and Mike find them stashed in their own backyard. With the help of a friend's computer and a gang of BMX bike-riding crime fighters, the siblings set out to solve the robbery and clear their accused dad of any wrongdoing!"

Trying to post a pic of the cover for Young Detectives, but I can not seem to figure out how to post images?????
