That's how Earl did it back in the day, he bought
completes and sold the parts for full retail! Any
thing he can do to make a extra buck is all he is about!

87 PFTs came with Hsing Ta pedals? Interesting, I woulda thunk they'd put something high end and more well known on their top of the line model... at least of SR/Sakae reputation.

In business you talk about inventory in "turns" or how often you need to restock any particular item.
The more "turns" the better - inventory levels that don't turn end up costing you a lot more and it gets exponentially worse in passing time.
Earl has sat on this inventory so long, that even at it's current fair market value - it's still to little to recoup his money.
If this money that was tied up in bicycle inventory was parked in just about any other investment vehicle - it would have netted him FAR more than the returns he's getting "hocking his wares" on Ebay.
TRUST ME. Sell it high Earl!

Those pedals cannot go on the bike he claims.
The '87 Pro Freestyle Tour had Power Series cranks, and will not accept the 1/2" pedals in that auction...they'd need the 9/16".
Just sayin'...

I asked what he wanted for it new in the box and he said.
"Can't afford to sell as a complete--will bring twice as much in parts Earl"
So, it may not be a steal, but you can still have brand new the bike of your childhood.
And remember, every part he sells for high dollar just increases what someone will pay for your parts...
