Took some pics of the white freestyler with some aerospeeds the other day. Not quite done yet but getting close. I thought you guys might like to see pics with the speeds. Looks like the negative of Twintoptubers beauty. These are still my favrite bikes. Enjoy!

Haro#7
OK Ray for the bad part, I have always thought those wheels were kind of FUNKY HA HA HA , but the rest of the bike definetly makes up fo the wheels. Looks awesome. Now through some black Z-rims maybe with white GT superlace hubs on that thing would be the " SHOW-STOPPER " but then again Ray your bike always look nothing but great.
Yasser
Nuthin but wow, Ray!
DR RAD
wow nice and clean
Needrock
unreal.... Was that your black VDC that took the top prize at Rockford last year? That bike was awesome too.
ELF_DUDE
that BIKE is Flat out SICK i saw a set of those rims on the BAY was going to bid on them they are great if anyone has a set i might be interested
Jamie_H
niiiiiiiiiiice.....
Flanelcamel
Thanks guys I know its always nice to see something different. Its funny people either love or hate those wheels, I love them. Gives it a nice clean & sleek look I was going for. The black beauty is twintoptubers. It would be kinda cool to see them together sometime. When you gonna sell me that black one James? LOL.....Yeah right. Thanks again guys!

Ray
oldschoolrider88
before i joined this site, i NEVER heard of VDC.

sick build.....now RIDE IT
Bedlam Bikes
Perfection....... The wheels look great on that bike. Keep them on!! Everything looks well thought out and matches awesome.

The only thing I'm not feeling is the pool tires. I always take the VDC as more of a flatland bike.
Marc Tardif
Amazing build, Ray. I had never seen those wheels before (i wasn't interested by freestyle bitd), they are way cool (rims and tires).

I recognize my VDC repro decals on there. You've put them to good use Chrome-on-white decals (à la Hutch) would look great on this one. I should perhaps get a batch made...

One question: You got the white and orange freestyle f&f's from UK's Giles Martin right? I remember him putting some for sale a few years back. Giles helped me tremendously when i designed VDC repro pads as he sent me original crossbar and stems pads to scan and study.
Pauly
Sweet man!
...but why you skimping out on the brake cables?? So close, but such a little detail but it just looks incomplete without it.
What are those wheels? Speedlines maybe? I don't think I've ever seen a set other than in magazine ads. Those make the build in my opinion.
Flanelcamel
Hi Marc Hows it going? Yeah I got the orange one from Giles and that is still my favorite. I can't thank him enough. I have since found the matching bars and seat post for it. Don't know if I will ever build it but I have every peice I need set aside for it.
DansHaros
Ray, That thing is sweet!!! Not sure about the wheels, but what do I know? Nice work Man!
Dan
Flanelcamel
I plan to put a white gyro on it. I'm not big on the rules of being totally era correct. Hence the nippons and pool tires. Heck you would never see anything built like this back in 1984 anyways. I just build them how I like them.
twintoptuber
Oh yeah!

That wheel setup is awesome and love how the stem matches it.

Bring that scoot to Rockford and we'll side by side them for pics.
RIDE A BIKE
That bike is Bad a## to the bone Love the old school wheel covers!! Are those alloy covers? I have a set of old covers with no holes in it.Very nice build Get a pic of you riding your bikes they are screaming to SEE THE STREET and RAMPS
bmx joe
Sweet build!! Love those True-line disc wheels!
I'm looking for a front disc wheel to complete a set I have, or something that looks simular to it will work. Does anyone have one that could help?
Gooser
You've got to build that orange one! I say orange Z rims on that one for sure...
Yasser
Hey, feeling bit ignorant but is the seatclamp VDC made? And what stem is that? Enlighten a VDC fan from across the pond, thks.
Flanelcamel
The stem is a chrome tuf neck 2000. I was told by a reliable source the clamp is vdc but don't know for sure. The grips are early smooth ames and look awesome with the pool tires. Didn't take any really good close ups. but this is a little closer.
COASTY
Love it! Looks soooo smooth. I can't stop lookin' at it!
NFR5111
I would love to see a nice pic of yours and Twin's together....those are simply awesome builds.
86EndoKing
Love those wheels!! I was just looking at an old ad for those last night, wondering where I could score a pair just to have. Nice!

I'm all for building it the way you want. Sweet ride!

86EndoKing
One question. How do you air up the tires?

86EK
Flanelcamel
Ha.. good question 86 guess I should have shown the other side too.
TNJ'Sdad
Damn
Moose
Sweet. I must admit I'm not a fan of the discs, but the rest is just beautiful.

It's good to see you posting some pictures of your excellent collection.

Now what about that 'other' VDC freestyler
teamtotal
Wow, that is quite possibly the most beautiful build I've seen?
Truly special.
bwl007
Unbelievable!!!!
Axlepeg
Hell, yeah!

Love your choice to build it how YOU wanted. As far as I know, you didn't take a concensus with the board asking what to do (as far as I know)...the vision behind that was all you, baby. Immaculate balance on the bike as a whole, borrowing from the rare/zany/pricey/quality genres to bring it all together into something truly unique. I can honestly say I don't think I could ever appreciate those wheels on any other ride, but I dig 'em. Congratulations. Very nicely done.

PS (I can't hold it in, but I thought it before Paulie mentioned it...all the time and money put into that build and you couldn't wait to FINISH the bloody thing??)
twintoptuber
I really like looking at your bike Ray and it's one of the only bikes I've seen on this board that makes me want to actually and ride it. Would love to coast through a cement park/pipeline listening to the wheels whirl.
Yasser
Anybody can help me a set of VDC decals? Pls PM thks.
Flanelcamel
Thanks again for all the kind words guys! The pics were just for fun as those cranks are going on another vdc project. I have cranks that should fit this bike even better and will post pics as soon as its officially done.

I'm thinking the same thing James, I think this one is screaming to be ridden. I'll probably ride this one and take some pics when I do. Its interesting how the bike has a very solid sound and feel from the wheels. They are WAY rigid.

Hey Yasser I have decals for you. I do them in 5 different colors schemes, lmk what you need.
VATO
STILL AHEAD OF ITS TIME!!!!
SUPER KOOOOOOOL BUILD RAY
Yasser
PMed u Ray, thks.
604 Rider
i have never even heard of VDC...awesome nonetheless. Comp pools for teh win!
DansHaros

Dan
Bedlam Bikes
I was just looking at some mags tonight and I stumbled across this page:
Sorry for the lame pic as I dont have a scanner.....

Flanelcamel
Cool, I remember that ad. What issue that in? I always wanted those wheels as a kid but never could find them. Only took 20 years... I don't think many were even made. Anyone else have a set?
akcuda
Dang--Sick bike you have there! I love how that wild parts selection works so well together. What cranks are going on the final build? Some Sugino CT’s or 2nd gen Profiles would be nice on there.
