here it is ---- not completed . i had alot of changes in mind but a good start so far. finding chrome rims now (if someone would by these originals from me) and adding gumwall haro tires. look for little changes in the pics from the original. now i give you my starting rendition of the 2006 team sport.

What is the difference between the Team and the regular model? Other then the extra decals on bars and team/frame decals, I like it! I got 2005 and 2006 models. Can anyone help post my pics? It will be sometime till I am able to post some.

here's BMX Joe's 05 and 06 Sports. Nice rides.

2005 I got on ebay last month f/f and built it with extra parts that I had laying around/new school projects that I took apart. Ended up looking like Ron Wilkerson Sport BITD.

2006 was a Christmas gift this past year from my wife. I ended up changing and upgrading it with different parts.

I can't wait till they make the 2007 model ( Haro Master frame) I'm already collecting parts for that project!

As soon as weather gets better and a little more practice, I'll have some action shots of me on the vert quarters at the skatepark near hear.

I love the Retro stuff!

I just saw an '06 in a bike shop yesterday. They wanted $389 for it. Is that going price?

I really like the 05 sports. I think that why i'm gonna do My 95 master in the Black/chrome theme. the 06 looks great with the kneesavers on it.
I really hope they do a good job of the 07 master when it comes out.

joe--- did you have to change your cables for the kneesavers? the original cables look small. what chrome rims do you have?

bmxjoe--- there isnt a "team model" so to speak. both bikes are the same i just decaled it up as one.

rl-20ii guy yes 375 is actually about right talk them down if you can. shops ive talked to say they can't get rid of the bikes fast enough

Yeah, the guy said that the regular "kids" just think it is another haro bike for the present year.

They had it hanging up by the rear wheel right in front of the door way, so it hits you in the face as you walk in.....

There's a shop in Northwest CT that has a blowout on ALL current BMX bikes- 20% off- so after tax etc. you can walk out the door with the 2006 Sport for $340.

Starting price is $399.

Not a bad deal, concidering a new school bike with 3pcs carnks are more than that...

Then again, also, back in the day, that bike with 3pcs cranks was more too....

2niceharos--I used the same cable that comes with the bike. It is a real tight fit as you can see. I like it this way because cable is not over the cross bar.
As for rims I'm using my last set of Peregrine Super Pros. I changed the rear hub to a Nankai freecoaster and also changed my chainwheel to run 33/12 gearing.

Good job on adding those decals to your Sport!
The head tube one on yours looks alot better then the ones that come stock on the bike.

91 master taking the bars from the 05 and throwing them on that 04 was exactly what I was thinking some one should do, nice bikes

There is a 06 sport sitting at my LBS for over a month now. Alot of ooh's and ahh's, but no buyers.
It's on sale even! $359.

the retro sports sell for less than the regular bikes like the backtrail or mirra pro. strange IMO

The Retro Sport is Tri-moly,the Mirra and Niquist Pro are Full chromo-ly.That's why they're cheaper.Also the reason why I can't decide to get one,because the 05-06 Sport weighs a ton!

Hey Venomsz,where in H-town are you? Are you talking about the one in Sun and Ski? I saw it and even sat on it,it felt odd,to say the least(then again,I'm used to old school rides and BMX racers)

yeah this sport isnt going to be a ramp rider thats for sure. i left the pegs off it because they weight about 3 pounds each, plus the 35 pound weight of the bike now would be like riding a tank. now i know why new school parts are all drilled out or made of aluminum

Frame weight is about 6.5 lbs. With upgraded parts you can the complete bike to weigh about 30-31lbs. The ones in the pics that 91Master posted for me is around 30-31lbs. But if your a weight weeny you can minus pegs, add 36 spoke rims,lighter bars, new odyssey stem, set post, and take off the front brake, maybe add some titanium axles+spindle.
you can shave off maybe 2-3lbs. Only thing that would look Retro is frame and fork.

well i figure a limited ed bike should cost more.

most new school bikes weigh about 30-35 lbs anyways.

EDIT BTW: the cranks are HEAVY. thats why i got a set of RL Flight II off RL20 II Guy
