I believe I still have the box for my Freestyler F&F, I was really anal about keeping stuff like that. I don't think my Mom threw it away either, since she knew how important stuff like that was to me. Next time I'm at my parents house I'll try to dig it up. In the meantime, I'll get my SN on here.
Chip
Rosco's is past the TTT prefix by 41 ? Interesting but still seems to fit in. One thing if this is right is I don't see any "actual '82's out there.

Just got another 1st gen Master Number ,

TDD 4599 F

I'm still hoping Bill can send pics of that invoice , I don't know how much info it will give us but i'm sure it was from when the master was first released.
jay47
So i guess this number means for the Master......

jun TEE 4400 - 4500
jul TDD 4500 - 4600 , possibly

This ties in with the TDD on the 1st gen sport .
fossil
Hi fellows!

Mine is TEE 4497
STRIKE
The SN on my Haro Freestyler frame is - TNN 2184 F

Here are some current pics of the state of my frame and fork. I'm going to bring it to Rockford so that I can have Rod take a look at it for me.

Both sides of the gusset look like this.

The seat collar cracked right away, so a friend's Dad offered to weld it for me back in the day.

Yes, I've held onto this dropout piece for more than 20 years.
DansHaros
Wow! What the Hell did you do on that that thing?
BOB-O
holy cow.your lucky you didn't loose it..
radmeon
That's just amazing how you've held onto that little piece for 20+ years!

jay47
Greentoad , I've all ready said it to you , but again ,thats a great find .84 2nd gen master with some great parts..........
greentoad
Hi

I am pretty sure that this original and unrestored bike is not on the list.

Given by Bob Haro to the owner in 1983 (still in original ownership) -

Build - T TT1029 F

Moose's date / production list is looking good, I agree that the date seems to run backwards and if I am correct this is the oldest bike so far.

Just got the last piece to the complete Haro '82-'85 collection a 2nd Gen US '84 Master serial # T08845168M yippe! (before you say it Jay, I know I don't have a US '84 Sport, but I really don't think that is realistic! Unless you sell me yours since its the only one known to exist!)
Dan

Hi all

Looks like a Haro Sport has been found!

ID is - T EE0083 HS

Is this a Gen 1 Torker built Haro Sport?

T = Torker, EE = Month (June?), 83 = Build Number (So Early), and HS for Haro Sport

J.
matt1

Have got 3 gen 1's to add here - I think Chip's and Billy Stupple's are already listed - I have 1 more that might not be, though. It used to belong to Tom from the Chemical Brothers, apparently. I'll dig out the serial number tomorrow.
Chip
Glad to see this thread saved from the prunning. Dan you should archive this on your site.
almost forgot, add THH 3937 F - 1st gen Master

greentoad
Hi all

I have compiled a list of all the data that I could find. I am not sure about TSS 2357 F - this is the only one that does not fit in correctly.

Does anyone have more numbers?

Any chance that pictures could also be shown on this post (with the serial also), so that I can put pictures with the bikes too?

Happy New Year to all.

I have been playing around with the serials for a few months as I reckon the dates may be just a touch out (the most that I can get is an extra two months back in time), so - TXX 483 F manufacture date could be Sept, Oct or Nov 1982.

However, now that TXX 483 F has been found along with all the other discoveries the results are helping getting better dates and production numbers each month. A CC code would be great though, or anything between 4599 and 4754.

I have had many long discussions about the 1982 date and why bikes havn't come forward if 6000 -ish were built. My theory is that Bob H and early ridders would of used and abused many of the very early ones and most would of cracked / broken during use at comps / demo's etc and as such where thrown.

Does anyone know if the TXX 442 F reciept has been posted / shown / pm'ed?

I also have contacts for another half a dozen or so Freestylers.

Does anyone have 1982 adverts, pictures etc of the Haro Freestyler, if so please can these be posted, and can Bob himself give any input?

It's getting interesting again, loads more to follow.

Thanks.

WoW.

It is 3am in the UK and I can not sleep after thinking Haro's again and thought that I should share with you all what I've been working on for the last few months, just waiting for an 82 bike to appear.

I was going to holdout, but if proved right think this is a great find for 2007.

So, if I am correct in my expectations for TXX 483 F and it fits with Bobs F/S Moves book, we have a new addition to the Haro Family.

What I mean is - along with the gusset weld, the coaster shape and no-knurling, TXX 483 F would become the World's only surviving Gen 1 Haro Freestyler and all the others would be Gen 2's.

I'm really looking forward to the pictures....fingers crossed.

more news about the old Haro's. My old rampriding teammate ('tabletop terry' on vintagebmx) just found his old BMXA calendar from 83 and found out he bought it january 13, 1983. the serial number on his was TVV 825 F. He sold it to a guy from Winnepeg named rob rempel (sp?) in april of 84 for 800 bucks american $$. have to dig out some photos of it.

I'm speechless..........

More pictures please, nor-cal-flatland-since-1984

That is the oldest known to exist so far - what is the history? Did you get it new? Do you have any details of previous owners, any comps that it was in etc etc

Can you also take pictures of the gusset and under the gusset, and also the rear dropouts. Does it have knurling?

Does it also have forks?

WoW, they are coming out now, that's two Gen 1 Freestylers now!
