Hudson - I have 4 pairs (8 pegs total) of the MCS pegs. I have one set on my Trick Star. I love 'em dearly.

Skyway Freestyle tires are impossible to find.
-----------
UNI Pegs and Tuf Neck pegs - I never see those anymore.
pjbaz
Do you mean Uni tailpipes?

I know of an NOS set...no idea how much they want but it's probably more than it should be-LOL.

I also thinkI remember a set of NOS Tuf-Neck pegs in green locally.

djbdb

What about the Redline Rotor?
I don't think I have seen more than 1.
Yeah, The SPintech I have only seen 2 in black.
Needrock

Needrock
i already have it uploaded to photobucket
Hudson
This was on my 87 Pro Compe until i swapped it out with a white one....

Needrock

Here are those Strumery Archer drum brakes. Laced into some Fred blood signature Z Rims. Also Fredz bars pretty rare too...
Hudson
Fred Blood z rims...now those are rare...heh.
oldschoolrider88
never saw fred blood z rims....
a buddy of mine had sturmey archer's on his bike BITD...the best brakes ever only if they were more durable.
cycleace
What is the difference with Fred Blood z rims ?

I have a pair of NOS Pacific fork platform. PM me if you are interested.

BITD there was a kid in our town that had a early Master. It had a strange DK stem. It didn't have a hollow bolt but it had a hole in the side that the cable went though and fed down through the forks. Let me know if anyone else has seen one of these. No one else that I have talked to has ever heard of such a thing. I wish I had a photo.
Needrock
I onlyy ever saw these Fred Blood and Mike Buff Signature Z rims

I have a blue Dyno Spintech in used condition with that somewhat beat up yet original box used for storaging my spare headsets. The box is still in one piece though but looks kinda rough. The bolt has been replaced and overall it has been slightly touched up with matching blue paint here n there.

Our local bikeshop used to have a pile of these blue babies for sale in very early 90's. I guess the shop got a good purchase deal from the GT/Dyno distrubutor because they obviously were considered leftover old stock at the time. I remember no one really liked them but somehow they all got sold eventually. I used mine with Q-bars that had the clamping tube cut off (Pete Brandt/Sean Leslie style).

Howbout the early 90's invention, the ACS Wedgelock stem? It is mid-school but I haven't seen any around and would definitely buy if someone has one for sale. New or used.

FreeEnterprise
Dia-Compe 993's have to be at the top of the list for rare.

Or possibly Bill Nitschke custom pegs.

Daniel W
Is there a difference between Bill Nitschke custom pegs and Pulse pegs?
2FRESH
I have two Dia-Compe 993's in nonglossy black. As you can see it is screened as "994" but actually they're engraved as Dia-Compe 993 as well as with the '88 production mark. I haven't however seen any white 993's anywhere til now.

Another similiar to 993 and somewhat rare U-brake thesedays would have to be the Shimano BR-M453 brake with the anti-flex plate. Haven't seen those since early 90's. I do have the arms, the anti-flex plate, tensioners and misc parts for it but missing the right kind of springs and one plastic dust cover.

Weren't ALL Pulse pegs custom made by Bill Nitschke? I still own this set of 3.5" Pulse pegs. Sometimes I wish i would've got the 4" like the ones FreeEnterprise has..
bwl007
DK freestyle stem with the extensions on the side.
FreeEnterprise
2 fresh,

Where did you get those 993-4's?

Here is a pic of mine with the original maker marks on the bottom side.

If I remember right Bill had his friend who worked at a machine shop make those pegs. He sold me my pair back at woodward, ($10) I don't remember what year. I was always stripping out pegs on my coaster brake wheel (different thread than standard wheel) So, I was glad to have a set of pegs that didn't thread on.
crowdaddy
Yes the DK had extensions on the side. The clamp looked like a regular DK.
Hudson
I know we've had some repro Hutch parts being sold in the past....i was offered some 'Hutch' radkaps still in the bag for $75 (any color??!)....do you guy know if someone is reproducing them and selling them as the real deal?
2FRESH
FreeEnterprise,
i can't recall anymore where i got them, but i didn't order them so i must have purchased them here in finland. They're probabaly from some mountain bike of that era.
In case you're wondering, they are also known or referred to as "Dia-Compe XCE 994"s with same design. There's still some for sale at Custom Riders.co.uk
I love GT
GT mallet stem???
dmz73
I think the meat mallet stem has been a pretty common NOS part.

Fred Blood Z-rims, yeah. I think that they just became Z rims.
Let's see- Rarity yeah, I would have to say the DK with the drilled out stem tube would be up there...

How 'bout a Tioga quick adjust seatclamp?
Avocet tires? I loved those...
djbdb
ahhhhh tioga quick adjust seat clamps - thats my signature part. I've been using one since thay came out. I have three of them, 2 NOS....
cycleace
Dave "The Gumby Man" Nourie always ran a Tioga quick adjust seat clamp.

The Pacific Platforms, i have one that looks like those but it has SOWER moulded into it, is mine OG or a copy?

@FreeEnterprise,
just for the record, here's the engravements on the backside of the 994/993 arms:
FreeEnterprise
2Fresh,

Thanks for that. Back when I rode for Dia-Compe they made that brake for me. I have run it since 88. But, I have never seen another. I knew that they released them for mountain bikes, but I never saw them on a flatland bike. (Dia-Compe thought they were too difficult for Kids to dial in...) But, I loved the way you could easily micro adjust the brake pads with those brakes.

It is cool to finally see another, in Finland no less.

Later,

How about the skyway bolt-on frame stand ? I never saw one in the flesh.

I have a set of lightly used greg hill mushrooms with the original box. I used em for a few days and THEN decided to take them off and save them. brilliant

Adam, I have an NOS pair of those Mongoose wheels with the wierd Freecoaster thingie, they're black with a pink sticker on them.

I picked up off eBay a few months ago, I remember I was bummed at first because I thought they had an actual Freecoaster, not that weird fixed gear thing, but now I'm kinda into it.
1adam12
Badass I want pictures of that thing
Axlepeg
Nitsche's pegs were all Pulse Products. He started selling them in '89 and the originals are not polished shiny/chromed. They had kind of a coppery hue to them. I gave my 3.5 and 4" away on a complete '90 PFT with Joe Johnson's old Power Series cranks to a neighborhood kid about 5 years ago.

The infamous DK freestyle stem with standing platform and side-quill cable routing. From FSN' Nov. '85.

FreeEnterprise
I wondered why mine were not as shiny as 2 fresh's, I just figured he had them chromed.

When I got mine he only had a few sets. I bought two sets and traded one set to someone else.

They are kind of slippery until you got used to them. I had them on the front for a while until I did a smith decade and my foot slid off the peg while I was going around.

I still have a scar from that one. Shimano DX right in the back, and peg into the hip.
Do A Trick
SST command posts are pretty rare....didn't anyone mention those? They used to sell for like $20 at Rockville BMX in the 80's...now they'd fetch six times that. Any prototype designs that are still in existence would count as rare. Like Eddies' GT Forkstander prototypes....

RobQ
djbdb
wow, look at the drop outs on eddies forks. Those must have been prototypes, too, to allow the standers to clear. God knows the original dropouts would be in the way...
Axlepeg
Wow, Do a Trick! I always wondered what the heck these were!?

Did Fiola originally post that pic? (I thought I read that somewhere, but didn't see it.) Looks like the racing GT forks he rode often in '84-'86.

Pic taken from the confines of the mythical Fiola garage with tons of old Eddie-stuff from the mid-80's???
djbdb
You never saw those pics, Josh? Eddie himself posted those in a thread a couple of months back...It must have been during your hiatus...
yearofthecat
Axlepeg definately has it. Those are mid 80's GT race forks used on Pro-series and Mach-ones.

1adam12
the rollercoaster and I have one left.
yearofthecat
I think my Fiola replica World Tour is pretty rare.. I've never really seen another. I should really get a newer pic(this is older) as it looks alot better after being scrubbed.
Chris
Crooked Cop
How about the roller seat?
STRIKE
Beach Park Pads...you know...the ones that look like bubble wrap.

Oh and don't forget the Tune Tote.

crowdaddy
Yeah thats the DK stem I was talking about. I wish I knew how to get in touch with the guy who had that back home.
1adam12
crowdaddy what is his name I can find him.

Adam- I have a roller coaster and so does my friend. Of course, I came up with the idea and he built them. I can still get them made but since they aren't a production item I guess they don't count.
