My good friend broke his knee cap in 1983 during this Maryland State Qualifier and over this exact jump. Afterwards he put his bike away for good. Fast forward to today and the only thing different is he replaced the Mushroom Gips with A'me Rounds. It's good to see a survivor.

I'm sorry to hear the reason for his demise in BMX but I'm glad it did not sour him enough to 'get rid of everything'.

I'll bet he is glad he kept it also.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

1 survivor is worth 3 carpet queens IMHO. This one is beautiful.
