I picked up a pair of Mathauser finned brake pads and they are pretty dirty.
How do I clean them up without doing damage to the rubber?
Carb or brake parts cleaner?

Between the two, I would say use the brake cleaner. Carb cleaner will leave a residue.

Just wipe them down with dry towels and a little windex.

Always used just alchohol and a clean rag,not as dangerous as the other two.Good Luck!

Simple Green.

WOW!!! Simple Green did the trick!
Not only did it clean the pads but the metal fins too.

Thanks for the advice and everyone who chimed in!
