Bought this DK 6-pack a few months ago from a garage sale for $25.
Weighed nearly 30 pounds, but the frame is chrome-moly, so we decided to build from there.

took off the 48 spoke wheels, heavy fork and the seat.

New Nitrous Purple Double shot wheels
New Tioga Power block tires
Used Sinz chrome-moly forks
Eastern seat
Eastern 25 tooth sprocket.

Now weighs 24.7 pounds.

Puple stem, grips and seat are on the way for Christmas, but the bike still looks decent.

Wow that is quite the makeover you dropped over 5 pounds off that thing? It seems like this bike is more setup for trails? I have a question about the powerblock tires. I have no experience with them at all. How are they for general all around riding?

my son's 13 so, probably not testing the limits of them yet,
but at the indoor skatepark, they work great.
outside, they will probably wear out pretty quick, but he likes them anyway.

this bike was built for trails and the park.

I used Powerblock tires to lighten up my 1987 Haro Sport. They hold up well to rock walks so I think they're ok for freestyle.
