My new 86 World Tour
I got one back after many many years
I sold my old one about 15 years ago and I wanted it back ever since
So I got one back to resto and look at
I restored about 20 Motocross bikes in the last few years, so I have a good base for this
BUT--I have lost touch with what was on this sweetheart when it came out of the box

I want to make it blue and white, so I need a few things and info
Yes, the frame was already painted, so I will do it again properly

1. need the paint code for the blue
2. pedals, what name were they---SR MP-470's ??
3. Seat, the proper one, I have a nice blue one with GT stamped in the side, but is not the proper one
4. brakes--what kind, di-comp 901's?? or was it a 901 and 880 combo--I have seen it both
5. brake levers, tech 4 or 5
6. I need/want white dia-comp cables
7. tires?--got white Viacoms on the way--the originals (shinko) imposible to find
8. sproket front--43 tooth? but were to get it
9. decal kit--got one on the way
10. pads--need the pink, red and white one

I have the frame and fork, headset, fork stand, neck, bars, rear frame stands, as well as the one behind the seat, pro comp wheels redline cranks (new school, double pinch type), seat stem and bracket,

Gonna be hard to get a couple of these things, but with your help, at least I may be able to know what to look for and get it

Here is a pic of what it will be---I hope and what it is now

Thanks
new old guy

Personally I'd leave it purple but if you want the blue contact chip at C4 labs. Alot of guys on this site have used him for such projects.
dick
Hey, Thanks
How do I get ahold of him

Purple is nice, but the guy that owned it before me had a terrible paint job
ruff as heck
my first one was a blue one, so that is the conection for me
BOB-O
are you going with gt bars or the haro bars you have?
dick
they are Haro
crap
I thought they were GT
See, that is why I am on here
How do I tell I have Haro?

take a look at the bars and the bottom and tell me what is wrong please
dick
Brakes?
Can I use 901's for the front and rear and still have it work
or do I have to go with a 901 and 880 compo
Sorry, just been out for a few years
I was wondering if the 901 will work on the front and still utalize the tube on the head set
I can't tell what it was stock
dick
Brakes anyone
last part I need to know
race_inc
Those bars might not even be real Haro bars, but more like a knock off, no knurling on the cross bar.

The pic of the headtube, looks like there is no bottom bearing cup for the headset.
dick
The bottom ended up being some sort of rotor cup assy cup, and was missing the regular cup

The bars are real Haro bars as they are stamped---and had a local Haro Freak check them out, he also offered to buy them after I find a set of GT bars

Thanks

PS
There was 10 layers of paint on the bars

Brakes anyone???????
Brian P
