It says that PC Airport is 78 miles from Dothan Airport.

It says that Montgomery Airport is 88 miles from Dothan Airport, it is a solid 1:45 minutes from Montgomery to Dothan, I have made the trip many times. +/- 15 minutes.


Minneapolis to Dothan is substantially higher.

****Looks like the best bet is to fly in and out of Montgomery, AL. Also the airport was revamped a year or so back and I hear it is fairly nice.

Of course all of these prices are subject to change, this quote is at 9:35 Thursday March 11th. Happy hunting for a good fair and can't wait to see you in Dothan.

What's the camping at the track situation like? Hookups? I heard somewhere about showers?

Do tell, cause the Dirt & Vert crew is comin up in style in a plush travel trailer courtesy of 'Crazy Cleveland'.

No hookups, but all RVs will be parked on Paved Parking lot at the top of the track. You need to contact the track guys, probably Joe or Wellington to see if showers are available, I have heard that they were, but if so I think they will be at the Rec center about 300 yards from the track on the far side of water world.

For the record, this is not a camping style park, it is a rec park with Walking and Riding Trails, Clay Tennis Courts, Baseball, Softball, Water park, Rec Center and BMX Track.

I got a pair of rooms at the La Quinta (2.5*) for $50/night. Not a steal, but not bad considering the location. Captain Kirk saves me $80..... thanks!

I booked rooms for $37 a night at the Westgate Inn, one of the closest hotels to the track. It ain't the ritz, but with tax it is less than $100 total for the weekend. if you call them and they ask you to be in the starr club and it discounts it down to the $37 + tax. Starr club does not cost and honestly I did not have to fill out anything.

Camping information update:

Shower Facility - are available: The Showers will be in the Pool/Recreation Facility located about 300 yards from the track, walkable, but a short drive or ride is easier.

the showers will be available to use friday night for limited times
saturday for normal pool hours 10:00 am to 7 pm.
sunday they will be available starting at 2 pm. again there will be no charge for the showers.

RV Camping update: Although it does not say it on the ABA Flyer there will be a $15 (all weekend) fee for RV's at the track.

Free parking to all cars and such. But for the RV setups there is this small fee. Just wanted to get the word out so there was no surprises.
