So travel and hotel is looking at 3Gs for the race?

Dont know how many people are gonna make it to this one. I guess you hve to plan on 4Gs a person to go.

We figured it at $1700 for hotel (total for two), and about $2100 per person for air. Plus entry fees, bike baggage charges on the plane (which could be as high as $150 per bike, each way). I estimated it at about $7300 for one parent and rider to go with two bikes. Add $2600 for a second parent. Just put the trip at a cool $10 Gs, all day, and you should be fine.



Don't look now, but I think we're heading for Martin-de-Vivies in 2013. That is, afterall, geographically, the furthest land mass from Los Angeles.

Granted, it is kind of right in the neighborhood of South Africa...but if Pietermaritzburg is not quite far enough, we gotcha covered.


...Or, we could just put it in Chicago, which 2/3 of the BMX population, American and otherwise, can fly to for under $500 round trip.
