It appears to according to the internet, but I'd rather hear from someone local in the area of the NC, TN border. Is I-40 still closed from the rock slide several months ago?

I-40 is still closed & will be for the next two-three months, according to NC DOT. Suggested detour is still I-26 to I-81. This makes for a lot of traffic, so plan accordingly.
