Just wanted to let y'all in on this.
Many of you know that I was planning on driving to Oldsmar, when my truck didn't pass its normal "preflight-check" at the dealership.
Something about the front end hanging on by one nearly-stripped bolt. Anyway...
This was end of day Wednesday, and I was scheduled to drive out at 4AM Thursday. Did not want to rent a car and drive, as that would have broken the budget. So, flying was the only option other than staying home, which i was not going to do.
Checked Southwest, and their flights were all $600 RT by that time (leaving Friday). Then, for laughs, I clicked the Priceline link
over there ----------> and clicked on "Packages" up top.
They were able to get me a flight, three nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Oldsmar (precisely where I wanted to stay), and a midsize car for $799 total! The flight had a plane change in Detroit on the way out and a stop in Memphis on the way back, but it was an AWESOME trip, and (considering I bought it the day before departure, an unbeatable deal).
Moral of the story: It's never too late to book! Oh, and help support Vintage by using the affiliate link on the right side
Best,
