Just bought another chrome 24in frame set .....From a guy in my aera ...


Seat post is al most in the frame ......Just about a inch in sticking out of the frame ......

One of them old flute seat post ..I have a big table vise ..On my bench .....I don't care about the post .Is just i never have a problem before getting on out of the frame .Till now ....Put oil down into it the frame where the post is in .....

I keep on trwiseed the post and working it back and forth .I am going to whine up breaking what i left off of the frame .And going to have nothing to clamp on to ......

Post is really stuck in the frame ......What should i do ....I don't to break it any thing ....I guess i am totally [I tried to curse] ! HUh

Clamp the end of the seat post in a vice and twist the frame to work it out.

If the post shears off you will need to get it reamed out (big drill).

it's started to freaking azz .cracking into the post .....If i break that inch off of the post .I have nothing to clamp on to ....I am just Fuked !!

$$150 when down the drain .....I just bought last night .....The one was on ebay ....Yes that one .....

I didn't know tha post was really down in there pretty freaking azzz good ...

NO way i be abel to get that out .........Please help me out ......Where can i send it to .....Who doese that type of work !

if i remember correctly, ken pliska knows what chemical to put in there that will dissolve the aluminum seatpost and leave a chromoly frame intact. it can be done.

Will the unfreez the aluminum seat post from the chromoly frame ......OR not ......

I haven't try it yet .......

They said it will eat up the aluminum post up pretty good ,So i can get it out of the frame ..Will that work

So ' i bought a whole gallon of it ...

Guy that i bought from ,Told me to use all up .Fill the seat post with all of it and wait 4 Or 5 days to get it out .....

he told me to fill it up to the top ......and plug both hole's .LOL .With out ......What j&b weld or something ........

I had a Hutch Pro Racer with a stuck fluted posted. Clamped an old SR stem on the post. Used Kano Penetrating Oil. The advertise "Oil that Creeps". Sprayed this in the seat tube every 3-5 minutes for 45 minutes while drinking beer. Watch some TV, had more beer. Then took a heat gun and heated up the seat tube for 20-30 seconds. Took a three foot long pipe. Put the stem in the pipe. Layed down the frame on cardboard on garage floor. Prayed to the BMX gods. Took another gulp of beer ..... stood on the frame and pushed down on the pipe. Heard a loud creak. Pulled up on the pipe. Heard another creak. Push down again. Pulled up on the pipe and worked the post out of the frame.

The guy is working on it as we speak ....He is letting it soak in ammonia "

Hell ,he should of did this before he sold it to me ...He is telling me now it's Bitchen Pain in the azz ,Trying to get it out .he worked on it about 10 hour's on it one night ....If it wouldn't so far down in there .hell i could of got it my self !

There is a great thread over on OZBMX with plenty of pics where one of the guys has completely dissolved a stuck alloy seat post using Caustic Soda.

Be very careful with this stuff Donald - You do NOT want to splash this in your eyes or all over your crotch!

He has got it out ....He didn't damage the frame and the seat post aera at all .....

Kind of glad" of that ..

Well the bike is all ready build .

haven't rode it yet ...But i will .....
