Ever since I saw the photos of Moosegoose Nick's 2 black framesets he put up a while ago, (Moosegoose and a Two-Four), I wanted a black Mongoose. Something about those just looked really cool! So I kind of broke down 3 bikes and made this one out of them. A few parts came off of a bike that was taken apart a while ago when I sold the frame to Warren, I broke down 2 others, and came up with this.

The frame/fork, cranks and sprocket started off as this when I picked it up, lol.

I had it built up in that blue with all totally different parts other than the FF for a while, but it was a little silly looking. I eventually had that FF painted black by Lou in Florida, got the sticker set and grips from the BMX Products website, got the seat clamp from the bay and polished it up, and everything else was something I had.

Gee, I hope my 81 Motomag looks like that one day. Can you do a parts breakdown?

That's a tough lookin' ride. What kind of bars are those?

That's a great looking build! Really nice looking paint/powder...whatever it is. The bars really set it off!

Yuppers! smile.gif Gotta love a vintage black Mongoose.

I also dig the axel caps and the way they match the gold in the decals... Nice touch.

Thanx guys!

That's funny Brian B. Lol!

The frame and fork were painted, not powder. The bars are still the original finish. I had them on a DeCoster looptail for a while until I sold that frame, and since they've just been hanging around. Waiting for this build I guess.
