One of my all-time favorites! I still have a copy of the whole thing on tape.

I don't have a copy anymore, but I'm the guy who edited the video.

Excellent!
Then you're probably the right man in the right place to let me know (after all these years) who's songs are in those in the video?

Especially curious to know about the synth stuff. Whose song is the one that goes "Love i can't feel" (pt.7 of 8 at 2:27min) They sound very british, sort of Depeche Mode/New Order etc. style synth-pop. And the instrumental synth tracks featured in the contest results & credits?

Also, what is the band with the song "I need you" (pt. 5 of 8 at 4:00min)?

Music credits in the end of the video only say "Bob Haro" and "The Bohemians" but so far i haven't found anything to match those. I mean ofcourse i know who Bob Haro is but are some of the song actually his? But, mostly interested to know about the synth songs if possible please.

Thanks!

PS. i want to add that this video was highly motivational during my ramp years in '89-90.

That was awesome. I remember the coverage in Freestylin' after that contest, and they seemed to be amazed at how great Voelker was. His wall rides were ridiculous. Another thing -- no one remembers RL for this kind of riding, but he was tearing it up. Oh, and I think if this type of contest had come out a little earlier, I think Vander would be even more of a legend than he is. He just seemed a little more suited for this, rather than the buttoned-up flatland contests. Thanks for posting.

I loved the launch over the fun boxes! Too bad he bailed the landing.
