Speaking of RL bars...these don't have a stamp but was told they are early RL. They had a newer RL sticker. The ends look to be cut....width is 23". Did RL make an unstamped nickle bare? Thanks.

Ken Pliska
Yes, Redline made an unstamped Nickel Bar.

With the sub text "anyone really know" I thought I was going to see a concrete explanation for the V cross bar.

Thanks, Ken!

And speaking of the v-bar...the bars I posted have a really crimped v! I've not seen any photos of bars with a v this deep. Anyone know the specific model?

With the sub text "anyone really know" I thought I was going to see a concrete explanation for the V cross bar . . . and there it is. I wonder how much shaock the V concept actually absorbs? I was a little slow earlier.

Thanks vonmark01! I read the article and it seems to describe my bars to a "tee". Deep V, no stamp, nickle -also, they seemed so narrow, I assumed they had been cut down but, according to the vintage ad they made a set 23w X 8h like mine. The brighter nickel in the middle looks like they may have been in a Tuf Neck. Looking at the brighter grip area you can see where a standard length grip gets into the bend.

I deleted the prior images because I mistakingly put up a picture of someone elses bar I had stashed away on my hard drive (we know there are at least 2 sets). So, here is the actual pictures of MY bar. Just wanted to clear that up biggrin.gif Same exact bar but mine has a RL decal that was later added. Do we know of any others? Ken? Darren?

Heres mine before I got them powdered. Mine were extended by my dad in 81.
