Not a great question to ask your first post... It's worth what someone want to pay. Also pics or it is not real.
Lonewolf
Midwest, I'll give you $50 cash today.
reekie6
Is it the two wheel drive version??????
midwestracer4

there you go it let me upload it to facebook haha
Lonewolf
Midwest, the reason it's rude is that lots of people use Vintage to price their stuff and we see it on ebay the next day without those people never having let us get a crack at whatever it is.
midwestracer4
ya i understand i would actually like to avoid putting it on ebay. and probally wont put it on ebay at all
superjeer

that flat tire will cost you. I bid $49!

I think Chad's on here from time to time. I have no idea what someone would pay for that. But, that's what ebay is for. It's always worth the highest bid and nothing more.
reekie6
wild looking frame duall peirced head tube and disk brake. but I don't think it will fetch any were near the OG price of 5K
midwestracer4
i have the original seat laying around in the garage i just need to find it but i do have it
midwestracer4
ya that 5k was just the title of the bike when it was on the front of bmx plus which i have also but ya i just need to pump up the tires and would like to get rid of it to someone i think would take good care of it instead of ebay

IF that is the bike from the BMX Plus cover, I'm pretty sure Mr. Herrington himself would buy it from you. Shoot him a PM, he's on here from time to time.

It is a rare bike, but I don't think that it's worth as much as it would be if it had all of the original stickers on it, etc.

P.S. How come it doesn't have the two-tone pmc cranks?

I only have a few pictures of it as it was back in the day. That being said, I would love to have it. lol...Can you post a picture of it showing the bars and some closeups? Mid-school bmx bikes don't quite fetch old-school prices yet, so don't expect people to be throwing 4 digit prices at you for it.

midwestracer4
the cranks where switched to longer cranks after this and the owner of it before us took off the stickers i will be able to get alot more pictures up tommorow morning to afternoon feel free to pm me or email me at banks1190@gmail.com

thank you

I'd make you an offer but I've got a baby boy due in 7 weeks and cash is tight! I agree that it would be worth more with the original cranks, seat, post, clamp stickers........ This bike was also made when titanium prices were much higher and really no one offered custom building of bikes! Much different today! Thanks for sharing and I hope it goes to a happy home!!!!!! happy.gif
midwestracer4
thanks we got it from darby pool a while back he had changed the cranks and sold them
midwestracer4
i have the seat and seat post in the garage ill be throwing that on there and cleaning it up tommorow to add more pictures

Besides the stickers and two tone cranks, just from looking at the one picture, I think the tires and grips will be very hard to find if anyone was to restore the bike. Those Haro tires didn't last long on the market. Also had pink latex inner tubes. The clear blue grips, ati? I forget, will be difficult. To a collector these things really add up. I think when the guy offered you $2,500 he was really bummed to find out all of the problems the bike has. Just my opinion though. I recently sold another one of a kind custom frame. I only got about 1/5 of the total price that I originally paid to have it made!

At first I must admit I was completely ticked off by this post. I have trying get a hold of this bike since before Christmas, He threw out a insane price and I countered with an equally insane price"If the bike was in pristine condition, I.E. Parts, Stickers". I would be happy to have paid that much with all the correct items. I tell him to let me know,as he is hesitant on selling it. I here nothing back from him, until Mid Jan saying "lets talk" I live about 1 1/2 3 hours away from therm so I asked repeatedly for just one picture of the bike just to make sure I was not wasting my time nor his. This went on for 2 weeks constantly asking him for a picture. Well today I get a picture sent to me by his son "Midwestracer4", then directly afterwords by looking at the time stamp he joins here and starts fishing. I have been working on trying to acquire this bike for almost 2 month's, and now it looks like the good ole gift of greed has set in. I immediately Pm Widwest and ask him to pull this posting as me and his father have been in talks, and that he wanted the picture sent to me. He replies that he didn't know and that he was just trying to help his dad out and is sorry and did not want to step on anyone's toes. PM him again. Nothing. Email his Dad.. Nothing... From the looks of it you should have sold me the bike when I was ready and didn't have all these "collectors" come in here and set me and yourself into a reality check on what the bike is really worth. The Dual color Cranks being gone, = less money, Every single Sticker gone = Less Money Haro Kevlar Tires gone= Less money, Haro Racelite Pedals with Ti Spindles gone = Less Money, ATI Mini Pistol's gone, but I have a set. Not the PMC seat Post Clamp= less money....I

Well right now my toe has been smashed from the looks of it.

I still would like the option to buy this bike as I would love to restore it to it's former glory, but that costs money and that money will be deducted from my price.

I agree that it sounds pretty messed up for budda! Poor quality picture and all, it also looks like the rainbow titanium spokes lost their color. Could just be bad lighting though. I also can't tell if the aluminum plates and red bolts are still on the rear dropouts. It looks really sweet but the back end flexes pretty bad as it wasn't made to my specs. ohmy.gif
This economy sucks! I think you'll be lucky to get $1,000 for it!!!
ds-1
is it seriously that hard to put air in the back tire and take presentable pictures of a bike you are trying to sell? never understand people who do this. that thing looks nothing like the one everyone drooled over when it first appeared in bmx plus.

it is possible to polish turds but it's going to cost a lot of money to get that thing back to the way it was.
midwestracer4
you know my dad had been in england for work for a couple of months and had recently got bad work is pretty busy around here so i didnt have alot of time to mess with it till lately when some bills have came up idk why you would be mad about this you guys had talked but not made a deal and i also put this on here to show it off i dont think we did anything messed up at all and if i did something to tick you off you have my apology

You barely got 12 words out, in your first post, before saying, "wondering how much it would go for". I believe the posting was only motivated by wanting to sell the bike and not show it off. Once again, just my opinion which means nothing. It's your bike until you sell it to someone else. If you want to "show it off" put some air in the tires, clean it up and post some clear pictures of it!!!!! tongue.gif

Cool man. Now the question is.................... who will end up bringing this bike to the old school reuniun at Peck Park so I can cruise the parking lot?
It would be really cool to get a picture of all the crusaders together. CI, CII, Titanium, Proto race CI, and my new school FBM build!!!!!
When is Peck happening this year sir 3rd?

sucks.
midwestracer4
how did he get the shaft? just cause he says he wants to maybe buy the bike i have to pull it off from any offers? that makes no sense.

I was more into the titanium idea than Matt was so it never happened. Also, at the time, the Condors were being made by S.E. Racing and they couldn't keep up with production. Matt was worried about keeping the regular Condors in stock and probably didn't need the extra headache! wink.gif

I had a titanium MTB

and I really enjoyed the ride quality. As far as materials go I think titanium is the best . . . I'm just not sure how it would work for BMX with all the torque. I mean how many titanium track bikes do you see? Another thing is it's resistance to fatigue, not that in reality it's a real factor. Sure you can build a frame that will retain it's rigidity for 20 years, but who among us actually keeps the same frame for more than 2 years max?

Another nice thing is you can get double butted titanium now, or 6/4 titanium.

To bad titanium isn't "In", It would be nice to see more of it.

No buyer yet or is someone keeping it a big secret? dry.gif
