I lived in Fort Wayne and raced Rockhill, Wakarusa, Goshen, Elkhart, Peru (outdoor and the circus track), and I think Angola held a race or two between 1978 and 1983. I have tons of pictures I need to scan and upload from the 1980 War of the Stars as well as some VHS tapes from JAG 79 and 80 World Championships.

i raced the worlds those years...we stayed at the hotel attached to the arena it was nuts in there.
our room was next to the japanese team...they had bikes that said jaws on the side with sharks teeth on the front.
we had to speak with theme through a translator.
i had tommy brackens in my moto...we had the same # on our plate and they kept announcing me as the winner every moto...needless to say that wasn't the case. fun stuff

Another track out there was the Fun City indoor track in Evansville. There was a WOS race there one year. It was a mix BMX and go-cart track. If I remember right, the first and last straights were drag strip flat.

I think I went there once. Finish right into a head wind.
