That bike was sold under a bunch of different names. KMX750 was one of them. They were department store but anything with shocks is cool.

Aren't those real Lester mags on it?

I was just thinking that too about the mags. That is a unique looking frame though. Ahh, heating duct. Guess I should've enlarged the pic before I said anything, lol. But I love old shops like that! The minute u walk into a place like that u know there's a ton of history there. Not to mention a pretty good chance of finding some hidden goodies!

Graco missing the red bodywork???

RandyS nailed it. Could be a Rampar, could be a Kent, could be...(insert one of many names here). A Graco would have dual downtubes.
They are cool bikes and a bunch of fun to ride. With so many different versions you can be pretty free with the part selection, although that one is pretty complete.
The wheels are both Lesters. The rear is one of the Schwinn Lesters. I know where there is a seat in decent shape.

Is it a Suzuki? (I know Kawasaki was alloy framed)

Whatever it is it's cool snatch it up! Maybe someone painted a Yamaha Moto bike black?

Nice spot ! If it is priced right grab it.
The older '70's are not in demand right now but they have so much more work involved in building them especially the suspension bikes. They are truely unique works of art.
I'm sure eventually you could find one of the two lesters to make a matched set.
Nice post. It's good to see people posting here more.

Not a Suzuki, not a Yamaha, not a Kawasaki. It is a Kent, Rampar, Roadway or one of the many many other names belonging to whichever department store wanted to sell these bikes. They came with lots of plastic on them (i.e. tanks, fenders, etc). The frames came be slightly different but they all seem to be of the same manufacture. Like I said, these are a blast to ride.
Here is one of mine. I have several. There is one for sale on the museum now.

Not 100% sure, but that looks very much like a buddy's Rampar from the mid-70's without the red plastic tank and fenders. Rode like a tank but fun.

Was Kent the one with KMX750 on the seat? I have two of them, both with the seat in tact but no other markings. I also saw a kid riding one in close to new condition about 10 years ago with no other markings, I just assumed they were sold like that sans an actual brand name.

My "belief" is that the KMX-750 is a Kent, but I don't really know. I've got three of these in various stages of completion and they all have small differences in the frames. I've seen four others in person and each one of those was slightly different than any of mine. I've always assumed they were Taiwanese and the factory sold them to a few importers who all sold them to whomever. I've also heard that they were all made or imported by Rampar.
They seem to be cheaper copies of the Graco MX-1000 that came with the 22 inch front wheel. Even the name/model KMX-750 appears to be copied from Graco. All three of mine have steel rims that look like 7Bs. One set is Femco and another set has Femco hubs and WanTong rims. All of the frames are black.
