I have started to find some of the super rare Western Flyer BMX and Chopper bike ads lately and I've been buying them up in hopes of finding my Wildcat. No luck thus far, but I know that people out there have been trying to find these ads for years (so I'm told). I'm currently hunting down 80-82 but I have other years. Anyway, I'm also trying to crack the serial numbers and to do that, I need to determine what companies built bikes for W.F. I've found that so far, AMF and Huffy have been big ones, and Murray seemed to drift away from the Western Flyer divison. But I need help. IF YOU OWN ANY WESTERN FLYER BMX BIKES, POST THEM HERE!

Oh come on, I know these are rare, but I would think someone here has at least one Western Flyer BMX.

I scored a 1984 catalog the other day and that should have ads in it as well.

There is a white Western Flyer Invader on eBay now with a $29.99 starting bid! I'm thinking of getting it.

Good news! I've been collecting the catalogs from 1978-2001 (the year Western Auto went under). I can narrow down the year much further and have discovered some really cool bikes on the way that nobody knows about. I have also gathered up knowledge of these bikes 20+ years ahead of time LOL. When these become classics officially, I'll be miles ahead. So far, I can say that the bike was now built from 1985-1993 (I'm still looking for these catalogs). My headbadge is seen in 1994 and 1995 catalogs, but then it disappears. My bike is not seen so I must go back farther.
