Since being laid off earlier this year I've had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to make a place to store all the Flick Trix bikes. I've always wanted to own my own bike shop but since that is not going t happen this is the next best thing. I am always making changes so any comments or suggestions are welcome. Yes, I am a huge HUTCH fan if you can't tell.

I don't know whether to envy your ambition, determination and attention to detail or make fun of you for being a huge nerd lol.

This is incredible when you realize that there's a display counter with parts in it, a PK Ripper schematic on the wall, two levels, pacman & coke machine, compressor and even a mini can of wd-40.

I have to say great work on something so unique that I would have never thought of doing this in a million years. I think it looks awesome!

Now that's my kind of crazy! Nice work. good3.gif

THAT IS SO COOL! (I guess that makes me a nerd strike biggrin.gif ) That shop looks alot like the picks of that shop that Ben Or has posted on here. The only things missing are the DG's, and Race Inc's. You should enter that diarama in your local county fair
dayride
That is really cool. Great attention to detail.

You didn't have to like this for me to know that! tongue.gif

Seriously though, I didn't mean it seriously when I said that the OP is a nerd, because I have that covered...I play WoW on a regular basis.

I didn't take it that way...no worries. It was just fun to make for my first attempt. I am wishing that Flick Trix has JMC, Boss, Hutch Judge, Patterson, Diamondback and Skyway frames in their next few releases. Cruisers and mini's would be nice too but I doubt they have plans for those
STRIKE
You should try to get a sponsorship from them or something...maybe some press on their website. biggrin.gif

You're right I need a box fan. I tried making a repair stand and even a sidehack but both were failures. I might try the repair stand again. I have a picture in my head of what I want it to look like, just making it seems to be the difficult part.
zoomerica
more pics and parts list please.

Great Job!!

Chico66 you might try soldering some stands together. Just bend some small brass rod, or something like that, and use the little alligator-clip stand/holders from your local hobby store for a jig. Then solder 'em up. Its an old modelling trick I used to use for making racks, antennas, and such for model tanks.

FUN just looking at it!!!

My grooms cake was very simular but was all MX bikes.

MORE PICS PLEASE!!!!

I have to agree I think that setup is really cool! Very nice work.

If you do install a door that slams, make sure it's equipped with one of those long springs that goes...."ting, teeeing, ting..." as you stretch it while it opens. LOL.

Awesome work, seriously. Very, very cool indeed!
Cook Bros Seeker
That's awesome. My 8yr old saw that and I now has big ideas. Great. Lol. He loved it.

I would love to add more pictures but I am almost at the max allowed with the 10 small images I posted. Does anyone know how to get more space added or are we all stuck with 500K max?

Actually it only took less than 7 hours to build, not including glue drying time. The most time consuming part was waiting for the new bikes to be released, looking for the small parts, furniture and other odd and ends things. I constructed the walls and floor one night in about 2 hours. Two months later I finally finished it by adding all the details, gluing down the bike stands and adjusting where all coke machine, video games, display counters would finally rest. The entire process went relatively fast and was a pretty easy setup. If anyone wants to make one for their kids or themselves I am more than willing to give advice, tips and tricks for assistance.

Totally Rad dude, I just showed my 5yr old, that races and said it was cool. But he did notice the Head gaskets, intake and valve cover gaskets hanging on the work bench.....He said they don't belong in a bike shop wink.gif

Tell him thanks for pointing that out. It was the only work bench I found that fit best. My next job is trying to find out how to cover those up since they are painted on the table

are the showcases and stuff dollhouse accessories? from hobby shops?
David Campbell
So where do you get the little mini bikes? There should be a ramp out back.
raceit
As I stated above, GREAT JOB!!!

Now, if you have a need for a few more parts I have some left over from my "shop" kit that will just go to waste unless someone like you can use them
for something cool like this.

Anyone wanting or "needing" a few extra parts hit me up with a PM and I can post a pic so you can see if you want them.....
VAbmxdad
Freaking awesome!

yes the furniture and air compressor were from miniatures.com or I searched ebay for them.

The bikes can be bought at Walmart, Toys R US and Target. To get the older versions you'll probably have to hit ebay since they are on wave 4 in their release cycle and most of those stores probably only have the current release available. Trust me, I working on something special sitting outside the shop and will post it when completed. Flick Trix just release new bikes with dirt jumps and those are at Target right now.
LIOldSchoolBMX
That is brillant....
chico66
added a new piece to the shop...a sidehack on a mongoose frame

STRIKE
