Your Mongoose is a race bike so stick with 36 hole rims/hubs. Take a look at the Crupi and JP hubs.....Super smooth American made hubs that won't cost you a fortune.

THE smoothest= campys no question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i'm have some gt mohawks, and i'm blown away how smooth they are, and pretty fast
if you want smooth and fast go with a good loose ball bearing, if u just want smooth sealed bearings

I have had the same Bullseye hubs since 1989 and they are as smooth as they were new. Not too mention strong and light. I have had these wheels on 3 different bikes and have used them for jumping and racing. Granted, I am fairly smooth compared to some, but you can't go wrong with Bullseyes. Another good option would be TNT hubs.
